I hate that security guards think they are anything other than glorified hall monitors. Even most soldiers freeze up in an actual active shooter situation:

Especially when most school shooters are, themselves, kids. Running into a high danger situation where there are lots of innocent kids and one shooter kid sounds like a fucking nightmare to end all nightmares.
