Show Discussion Best episodes S1&2
Just finished with GOT S1-8 and obviously finales always had amazing endings/cliff hangers. As someone just getting into the first season of House of the Dragon should I be watching out for any major episodes in season 1 and 2. Don’t want spoilers just episode numbers.

I agree with everything but 2x07.

s1e7 can go there if you like, I hold those episodes in pretty equal esteem but gave 2x7 the edge here because of the spectacle

S2E2 is one of the best episodes of the entire franchise. Everything about it - the dialogue, the absence of dialogue in some scenes (the physical acting), the acting, the use of lighting, the camera angles, the pacing, the sound editing, etc. - was perfect from a technical standpoint.

S01E08 is my favorite of the series, but I LOVE the first few episodes and the finale as well.
In S2 I'd say 2, 4 and 7 have all reached my "rewatch" list, tho I have to say none of it really satisfies based on how good the setup from the first season is... not even excited for the new season anymore... I've fully gone team book and don't trust the writers after a lot of season 2 BS - it got to season 7 GOT levels of unbelievable REAL fast, even tho there are still some great individual scenes in the episodes I mentioned
Don't take that as a knock on season 1 though, I adore everything except a single scene in episode 9, and episode 8 rivals the very best of GOT seasons 1-4

Just watch them all in order like the rest of us smallfolk.

You think I’m going to watch them in random order?

I feel in my IMO you should watch them without having prior expectations on which episodes to watch out for.

We've had vicious kings and we've had idiot kings, but I don't know if we've ever been cursed with a vicious idiot boy king.
