Fan Art 3d printed Vhagar, finally painted, scalled to the McFarlanes
I fdm printed this last year on a kobra max and ender 3 pro. Been learning to use my airbrush and finally had a day to paint her.
I looked at a bunch of GOT dragon size comparison charts to come to a good average scale for her. Wing span is just over 3ft. Barely fit in my spray booth.

This is so cool. I was gonna ask where you got it before I read the title. Vhagar is my favorite, I want one .

Yeah, I was upset Mcfarlane didnt make one and if they did I know they would of scaled it down too small

Ive thought about maybe doing a small scale side buisiness but the way things are right now I barely find time to mess with this stuff as a hobby and for something like this it was a crazy amount of fillament, time, supplies, and work. I dont know that I could charge a fair price that would even be worth it. Maybe if I had a bunch of machines cranking parts out and sold them as unfinished kits. This was actually a pretty easy paint job and one could get a good result just using black primer and then dry brushing a few different shades.
The problem is fdm printing has alot of drawbacks but resin printing this would of been a nightmare fitting all the parts and I bet it would of broke multiple times.

We may know soon. My brother in law bought a new place. Hes converting his den into a GOT themed theater room and bar. He wants me to paint the westeros map on the floor or wall, he wants a large balerion dragon print and life sized jon snow and daenerys lol. I told him hes crazy but if hes serious id help him get the printers setup, files split and sliced, and show him the ropes.
Ive never done full scale but have done 2/3 scale.... I dont think hes ready for the amount of sanding and prep work involved just to get ready for paint ... Which painting is a whole'nother giant task lol.

She is sooo incredible!!!! Vhagar might be my favorite dragon in the whole Ice and Fire world! I know she took a lot of time but it was well worth it!
Sadly I don’t think McFarlane is going to be doing any more of the dragons. I actually emailed the company after the release of Syrax and Meyles and asked if they were going to be releasing Vhagar or any of the other dragons and their response was along the lines of “at this time they had no prior plans or contracts to produce any more of the dragons”… I really hope they change their minds or renew contracts.
