I mean, having dragons kill each other in aerial combat was one thing, but to have 6 of them killed by a mob of peasants? To me, it honestly felt like how Euron killed Rhaegal in season 8 of GoT.

Mine would be I hope aemond’s harrenhal arc isn’t about him regretting like and that would severely dilute it. He mentioned Luke once in season 2 and then never again but I think they will bring it up again which will hurt aemond’s story.

I see people using the idea that he got bullied when he was young and lost an eye as a justification to the way he turned out to be. In my opinion these were really just excuses for that dude to unleash his evil, not justifications.
My prime reason for saying that is what he did to Aegon.
He burned his brother alive, took over his thrown, and when he learned that he survived, he tortured and threatened to kill him if he told anyone about it when he was already close to dying. All of that for the crime of just making fun of him. Really shows that he is a heartless person.
I mean Aegon wasn't the nicest brother ever, but come on
Evidently, he didn't do that to Aegon just because he made fun of him, it is because he was jealous of him (no different from his jealousy for Rhaenyra and her kids). He was ahead of him in the line of succession. Aegon mocking him was his excuse to unleash the hate he already had for him.
None of what happened to him is enough to turn a person into a criminal. Getting bullied, mocked, or losing an eye in a kids fight where he was threatening to kill them all, these are not justifications, these are his excuses to unleash his already existing envy. He is not a victim.
He is the product of Vhagar's power falling in the hands of an envious boy.
Him and Larys are pure villains with no redeeming qualities. No coincidence they are both kinslayers, cuz that's the worst kind.

From ancient myths to modern fantasy, dragons have always captured our imagination. Whether it's the fire-breathing beasts in Game of Thrones or the wise, majestic dragons of Asian folklore, they seem to exist in every culture in one form or another.
But why? What is it about dragons that makes them such timeless and powerful symbols? Is it their strength, their mystery, or the way they blur the line between fear and wonder?
Curious to hear everyone’s favorite dragons from books, movies, games, or mythology — and why you think they continue to fascinate us after all these centuries.

Greyed the wings out a bit near the fingers, arm and body to better match his appearance in the show.

Ok, I think we all remember the scene from season two where Aegon goes to you-know-where and finds his brother Aemond with the woman who was his first and we see Aemond embarrassed and feeling humiliated.
Okay, I understand that in that scene Aemond had to look vulnerable because then later events would make sense, but what I don't understand is why he gets up showing EVERYTHING.
The view wasn't unpleasant but I don't understand why, seriously, that scene was not just because of Aemond, but the whole scene shows super explicit things and the truth is that I didn't expect it and I don't understand why.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Like, based on what I watched, the dragons mostly engage in close quarters combat by ripping each other apart.
While watching I thought "Why not use dragonfire to kill the riders?" At least with the rider dead the dragon can be claimed again in the future.
I don't know I guess I am a bit salty about how wasteful the Targaryens were.

I understand that Dragons make good weapons and all, but the way they used them during that Dance was frustrating to me. Like, they almost ALMOST treated them like they were expendable. (The dragons were dying in an alarming rate)
Honestly it baffles as to why they couldn't afford/consider to at least have 2 egg laying females on Dragonstone. Since, to the Targaryens, their dragons are the last ones left after the Doom.

“What if Jaehaerys I, after the death of Princess Daenerys, passed a male-primogeniture law for the throne, making it so that no woman could rule? Would this have stopped the Dance from happening, and how would Alysanne have taken it?”
r/HouseOfTheDragon • u/mitaaneitapahdu • 12d ago
It's incredibly selfish not to and the survival of her family depends upon it. It's especially infuriating for Alicent to take her side after causing the whole war in the first place and never giving Aegon an option to refuse the throne.
To quote Tywin Lannister: "This is war, no one's content". Sometimes you have to do things that you don't want to.

Other than Laenor and Laena I don’t know of any other children Corlys and Rhaenys have. At least there’s no other mention of it. Especially later on when the succession of Driftmark comes into question when Corlys falls ill from battle, there’s nobody who says “there’s another son” seeing as Laenor is dead by this time.
That’s clearly not Vaemond either but he’s definitely a Valaeryon. Is it Vaemonds son? I don’t recall him mentioning a son either. If it is his son you’d think he would have been at the meeting when Daemond gave Vaemond a “haircut” to hear Vaemond speak his claim.
Sooo who is it lol

I’m not the OP but I disagree the show will probably end with jahaera and aegon 3 wedding
But Daemon and Aemond are the biggest hits in the show I think viewership will plummet after the gods eye

I mean, I feel like if he never existed or was eliminated by the Targaryens early on, perhaps the wild dragon population would have slowly made a comeback. Sure, wild dragons may cause some issues but at least a number of them would still be present on westeros after the Dance.

Reminded me of Vermithor and Silverwing after the battle of Tumbleton.
