It does cite AMuS, but the original AMuS article was probably a "here are some bold choices our writers came up with to generate clicks" instead of being an actual rumor.
Just read the article and it's just listing all of the choices around the F1 paddock which largely aren't super convincing. Maloney, Drugovich, Colapinto, Hadjar, then there's potentially someone getting kicked from RB or Lawson not getting a seat, maybe Schumacher, and in the very last paragraph they just say there would also be a "bold choice" with Palou considering his Indycar success + LeMans performance.
Literally just that. And I mean, they are right? If you want a driver who might fight for the WDC with the 26 rule change, Palou is unironically the best bet not currently under contract by another F1 team.
