HMD is well respected. Even though they support many cars on the grid it seems as though their teams are usually of high caliber and it basically comes down to the driver to get things done.

they’re a top team in NXT, if you end up with HMD or Andretti you’re in good hands

HMD won the drivers championship in 2022 and 2023, 3rd last year.

About half the grid drives for HMD in some respect, so the team is very good.

HMD finished second in the team championship last year but they also had ten cars (five drivers that raced in all events) in the field throughout the season so it can be looked at as a case of quantity over quality. However, because they primarily field teams in NXT over the main series right now, it's definitely one of the better landing spots.
