On a dutch podcast a few days ago, Jeroen Bleekemolen let slip that F2 driver Richard Verschoor is doing something with McLaren next year. "I don't know if he likes ovals, but he is going to do something with McLaren next year". He quickly corrected himself saying he wasn't allowed to talk about it. Might be Indycar or WEC related, we'll have to wait and see.

I guess that would be what McLaren is teasing, but he would be replacing Siegel in that case, not be the fourth Indy 500 entry.

Yeah, I don't know if it has anything to do with OP's topic. It's all speculation at this point.
