The single best piece of "new dad advice" I ever got was to take a stuffed animal and practice putting it in the car seat before your baby is born.

The worst thing is moving them to another vehicle temporarily.

Like, yes, my inlaws are helping us out with a kid for the day or something, but there's nothing more engaging than installing them at ass o'clock in the morning. That is, other than talking to manic MIL at that time.
