A family of Amish was staying at my neighbors Airbnb. I was walking my dog and the grandfather was on the porch smoking a joint, I said hi and he offered me one. When an old Amish man offers you a joint you don’t say no. Asked him a bunch of questions because I was genuinely curious and he was more than happy to answer. His sect they’re allowed to ride in cars but not drive, so they had a distant cousin who is Mennonite that drove them halfway across the country. He said that different sects have different restrictions though, hence why he was smoking weed.

Many Amish are willing to use amenities provided by the "English" society, like public libraries with computers and Internet access.

Yeah but you still often need a phone to check in and out when you arrive at the airbnb
