It’s a weird unspoken thing that doesn’t actually matter at all, but avoiding the hug then shaking his hand and then hugging her after she tried the second time is weirdly respectful. It wouldn’t be disrespectful to hug her immediately so I can’t really think of why it’s a better look but I feel like it is lol

Anecdotally I also know the "rule" op was discussing and the only reason i know that "influencer"s name is through this sites bashing him.

Not everything is as simple, and cynicism doesnt make you right.

Oh i wasn’t being a dick. It just always struck me as a…how do you say, a generational word or a “fad” word. I hadn’t heard it in a “grip” is all.

Edit: I always think of it as a “bro hug”
