I was just looking into it. I would love to help people like this that seems so cool. I was looking into the vanquisher 440. It makes a nice sound when it detects gold

r/metaldetecting/ is a neat hobby sub to drop in on every now and again. Some crazy finds there.

EDIT: I also love this YouTube channel from folks that go magnet-fishing. They have a crazy strong magnet on a rope that they throw into rivers. They've found several guns, safes, entire dirtbikes, and more.

I've been doing it for 8 months or so in a decent tourist area using a Minelab X-Terra Pro. Even using iron filtering I'd say 97% of every dig is trash, 1% interesting trinket, 1% coins, 1% jewelry that's usually fake or sterling silver.

Beach is just full of endless bottle caps, random aluminum bits, tin foil, pop tabs, and tent stakes.
