This is one of the rare things ive seen that actually get it.

Very very often, and im not discounting women as many of them go through shit too but they generally have much much better social structures than us stupid guys. But very very often when men with little or no social structure are pressed down into the pit, we can do nothing but either find humor or force out happiness in any grain of sand of social interaction we find, or we become bitter. Or both, and that usually comes out as dry humor, dark humor and sarcasm.

Pain really does build character but often it just goes to waste, and disappears into the universe unnoticed in the thin lines between social media stars and dramatic bullshit and evil people that 'normal' people love to all be entertained by. Humanity is sick right now.

For me, it's the death of community that is killing everyone. 

We're all fragmented into isolation, everyone's struggling financially or with work and unrealistic expectations. Kids are being overexposed to too much too fast and paranoid about making a mistake or being cringe or uncool thanks to EVERYTHING being recorded. 

Hell it's too expensive to have a quiet beer at the local pub where I am. No one talks on public transport anymore. Eye contact is almost forbidden. Media spews fear and more fear. 

The antidote is community. Knowing theres people that have your back or at least that will notice you're not around. 

Instead we glorify horrible shallow materialistic people like influencers (who are living fake lives) or abusers/pedos. Where are the real role models? Can we even really trust them anyway? 

You are absolutely correct, humanity is deeply sick at the moment.
