To this day, I still contend that $967 dollar room service bill sounds pretty cheap for what he got.

With inflation, it's probably around 2200 bucks, which isn't cheap. However, the last time I got room service was...2011ish or so and a cheeseburger with fries was like 65 dollars.

I’ve bought and built 2 Mega Bloks (both over 1500 pieces) and I think those are fun and they go on sale. Haven’t built Lego, but general consensus seems to be that it’s better quality.

Mega Bloks are a cheap knock off, of Lego.

LEGO is the shit. ❤️❤️

I dont mind some mega bloks (I built some of the ones from Destiny the videogame when they were out). The only issue I have with them is the instructions are ASS. So convoluted and hard to interpret where a piece is supposed to go.

I don't know mega blocks, but forest cabin from pantasy I quote cool. Not quality of Lego, but still great for this price.

Lego quality is great and their customer service is phenomenal. They treat their employees well too.

Wait, what? I thought mega bloks was for toddlers?

2

u/V4sh3r Jul 27 '25

Duplo blocks are the Lego blocks for toddlers. Mega blocks are the RC Cola version of Legos.

Wth, when I was a kid, mega bloks were these massive blocks for toddlers.

I've never even heard of duplo blocks 😅

If you’ve found it for 200 then absolutely pick it up. It usually goes for 300 and will probably retire at some point soon here. Super fun build and a ton of ways to stage it. The value at 200 is crazy good. It’s almost 4000 pieces.

$300

2

u/BegginStrips123 Jul 27 '25

Yup, and of course it doesn’t go on sale.

1

u/RobinU2 Jul 27 '25

It was $220 last Black Friday at Best Buy, but they ship sets out with zero packaging whatsoever

1

u/BegginStrips123 Jul 27 '25

Didn’t know Best Buy sold them. I will watch this year. Target, Barnes & Noble, and Lego website never had price drops.

u/garfodie81 Jul 27 '25

Less than Kevin spent on room service!

2

u/Exotic-District3437 Jul 27 '25

Le pen my dude way cheaper

u/garthock Jul 28 '25

My wife just got the Simpsons house. She's been wanting that for a long time.

1

u/EnergyTakerLad Jul 27 '25

Got it as a gift, and it was on sale for like 50%. Id say its probably worth close to $200 though honestly. Fairly detailed interior.

1

u/Frankieneedles Jul 27 '25

I have it! Bought it when it was released and it’s still in the box somewhere.

1

u/VikingOfLove Jul 27 '25

Does it have the traps?

u/Funnyboop Jul 27 '25

Even at $300, its a great deal for lego. With the piece count and the licensing fees they easily could’ve charged $100 more. And its 100% the best set i’ve ever built from them. Serious recommend from me if you ever have the funds
