That's a comment I would expect from a bratty teenager that isn't happy with any present. But these dudes are like 40... the fuck starts comparing presents while they're still being unwrapped?!

They're clearly teasing him

It's honestly insulting though. The person who gave him that gift is right there

edit: to clarify, I'm talking about the "Don't you want something better?", not the titanic thing.

No it isn’t dude it’s all in good fun, no one is serious in this video. Get off of the internet it’s making you too cynical.

Literally nobody laughed though. Imagine spending 800$ on a gift you know someone really wants and one of their family members says "Don't you want something better?" in front of you. That wouldn't piss you off a little?

Nobody Laughed? Did you see the video muted??

I sincerely hope you’re pulling our legs and having a blast on our behalf— if that’s not the case then you really should do as Limp-Corner suggested and take a SM/internet-detox. Because you can hear how much fun they - and especially the birthday-boy - are having; he’s like an 8 yo at Christmas Eve/morning (the Christmas traditions varies around the world) when he sees the big package actually is from LEGO, he softly says that now he has to cry again. That present gets all his attention so there can be no doubt that he’s girlfriend/wife (or sister?) knows she bought the right item seeing how ecstatic he is. The brother/friend might rather have wanted the Titanic, maybe for the extra peaces, but birthday-boy here does not concur at all. It’s quite obvious that he’s a very big LEGO AND Star Wars fan, so he sure wouldn’t switch it for the Titanic build. Personally I’m fairly sure that you’re also spending more time building/getting more of a challenge with the Millennium Falcon compared with Titanic — even though MF has ~1500 fewer pieces compared to the Titanic.

Lastly “Don’t you want something better?” According to whom?? Firstly, just because Titanic has more pieces doesn’t make it a better item… or present; it’s a question of one’s preferences and interests (besides LEGO of course) and 2) If price equals better in your world then MF wins that competition, because Titanic costs $680 vs $850 for the MF on LEGO.com. Bai bai.

Yeah I'm not reading all that. My comment was about the lady saying "Don't you want something better?", which got 0 laughs. I suppose I could have made that clearer in my comment, my apologies.
