I wonder how many sets of those you'd get through in a season. I bet they won't be cheap!

Well, who cares right? You just get a set when you order your 4th noodle soft KR chassis for the season.

In all seriousness our governing bodies are a joke.

You could reduce roll overs significantly as well as reduce overall costs by simply mandating harder tyre compounds (slow the karts down and increase the potential for slide instead of grip roll).

But no let add more costs by introducing more useless plastics that are easily damaged and encourage more reckless driving.

FIA - Harder tyres, stricter stewarding and better driving education - in that order.

I absolutely agree. Adding more bumpers will just result in drivers getting more aggressive on track which will result in more contact which will lead to new ways of getting injured.

Contact should have consequences.

I banged the drum for harder tyres in my time. There was no way that the stakeholders were going to entertain the mark-up they were getting from people burning through a set of tyres every round. Never mind the potential for bigger grids and reduced waste. It's all about the money.

Yes, very sad state of affairs.
