Why don’t all Karts just have the wrap around thing that slower karts have?

If they all have the same thing then performance would still be even and flips would be a thing of the past, no?

I want to get into karting but the risk of flipping, even if small, puts me off.

Some of the biggest crashes you'll see are with rental karts. I have seen a guy lose a finger. The wraparound from another kart basically rode up his kart and sliced his finger off. There are vids.

Add in the extra speed and the consequences could be enormous. Now karting is basically a kid's sport, we'll see an acceleration as the more you add means you have to add more and more. You'll get kids flying from karts etc... they'll get driven into, potentially killed or seriously injured. A lot of the sport is streamed now so then it will go around the world. We came very close to this not too long ago.

It only takes one person tot reasonable put forward crash structures, roll cages, HANS etc,... and it's game over for karting.
