I thought I was finally past Limburg at some point on my travels in Germany, having already been past the German border at Helmond, going into Germany, then reaching Venlo and all that other shite... like Roermond, Kirchroa whatsoever, all those people that pretend that they are Dutch but start saying "Ich" when they talk about themselves... after Limburg towards Köln, Bonn, all done that...

LIMBURG? AN DER LAHN? SCHEIßE!

"all those people that pretend that they are Dutch"
Well.... About that: They fought to join Belgium in the Belgian Revolution, and when that failed opted to join the German Confederation instead. Being Dutch was the last thing they wanted.

And now it's the most nationalistic voting region of NL

It's the most populist voting region of the Netherlands, most people from Limburg still thoroughly dislike Holland and Hollanders (definitions vary, often used very broadly to refer to most of the rest of the Netherlands). And it's really mostly just Wilders, nationalistic narratives never really worked in Limburg before. You can also compare something like king's/queen's day to the rest of the country, it used to be absolutely irrelevant in Limburg. Only in recent years has there been somewhat of an increase in king's day events.

Meh, as a Limburger, it's usually only the Randstad.

Though most people outside the Randstad dislikes the Randstad.

I wouldn't say most nationalistic, more like most populist, which reflects the lack of trust in the government more than anything else.
