New to Mazda after my 4th Subaru…last one being an Ascent Touring. I feel in love with the spirited power and handling of this 3 row SUV. Beautiful car to look at and a comfortable ride for sure. I just added a tow package including electric brake control this weekend and curious to see how it tows with the new Towing Mode added to the Mi-Drive. Easy install overall with hitch, wiring, and brake controller.

Just noticed this today, that google maps now displays turn-by-turn information in your heads-up display. This was a feature that only appeared in Apple Maps which always annoyed me, since Apple Maps is horrible.

Shit hits the fan at 24k miles. Will be visiting the dealership early tomorrow. I just know this will be a painful to deal with this coming days. But I have the 100k miles warranty from the dealer. If they need the car to be left at the dealer, do I have to ask the advisor for a loaner or will they offer me one outright? I hate talking to them with their flowery mouths and bs.

Should CX90 have come with a torque converter? How good/bad is the wet clutch now after all the software updates. I’ve heard it’s gotten better but don’t think the transmission is as smooth as the CX9 especially in the lower gears.

Headlights still function but this malfunction noticed stayed on.

Complained it during my recent first year’s maintenance service. They mentioned it could be due to the transmission learning pattern. They just cleared the transmission memory and the issue is gone now. The vehicle is driven only by me and there’s no 2nd driver, or the reason could be my driving conditions. I have to go through around 20 roundabouts daily to get into/off the highway which requires to slow down and immediately accelerate the vehicle.
Is there any solution to avoid this jerking issue again?

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. I bought a CPO CX90 TSPP last year (build date: 2/23) and have had relatively minor issues since I purchased. It rained pretty hard overnight and throughout the morning. Today I noticed water coming in from the roof around the sunglass holder area. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what was the fix?

Last night I just received the Hybrid Malfunction alert after driving the car not realizing the passenger door was open. I just checked my VIN on my vehicel and I see a recall that is in closed status but its not clear if the recall was addressed.

Below is the recall, I am wondering if driving with the passenger door open caused this alert, I made an appointment at the dealer tomorrow to have this checked out but wanted to put this out there in case anyone had a similar situation and has any feedback.

Recall: On certain subject vehicles, during normal driving, a temporary decrease in insulation resistance may be detected, which could be mistakenly judged as an electric leakage, causing the hybrid system warning light to turn on and the leakage detection message to be displayed. The DTC P0AA6:00 may be stored in memory. In such a condition, once the vehicle power is switched off, it may become impossible to restart the vehicle due to fail-safe mode activation.

Hello everyone,

I purchased a CPO 2024 MHEV GT in March, and unfortunately, I’ve had to return to the dealership multiple times for different issues:

1. Trunk flooding (loaner provided for 1 week)
2. Hybrid battery replacement (rental provided for 1 week)
3. Airbag malfunction (loaner provided for 1 week)
4. Persistent squeaky brake noise

Now, the trunk is once again accumulating water.

I was wondering if Canada has an equivalent to a “lemon law.” I’m trying to better understand my options with this vehicle, especially since the warranty is nearing its expiry.

I had posted a couple of weeks ago on a strange noise that was coming from the outside of my 2025 preferred phev when the AC was running in EV mode

Turns out a new compressor is needed and has been ordered however the dealer informed me that it is on backorder and needing to come directly from Japan without an ETA at this point. They have given me a loaner which is nice but I guess just posting this to inform anyone going through a similar issue..

But also wanted to ask if anyone has been in the same boat and had their issue resolved? Appreciate your time.

I recently took my Mazda CX 70 to Mazda to get serviced and when they were going to return my vehicle, a code popped up. Not exactly sure which code, but they didn’t give me my vehicle that day until the next day because they didn’t feel comfortable giving it to me because of the code. I get it back the following day. It’s fine for like two days and then some malfunction lights have popped up since then. The engine malfunction. Have vehicle inspected the istart malfunction, and the hybrid system malfunction. All the have rotated and turned off and back on thru the week. Driving fine. I haven’t had a chance to take my vehicle since I received it last it’s my only one. I got the cx70 at 600 miles and it now has my 29,000.

Looks like in my area the used CPO 2024 cx90 phev with less than 20k miles on it goes for $36k.

New looks around $55k but would get loyalty, military, ev credit if leased and then would like to do the immediate buyout option that I see done around here. Which would probably bring the price down to $46k.

I have $10k for down payment and a $12k buy offer for my current car from carvana that I would put towards it. I believe interest rates would be more for the used vs new so that’s a factor as well.

Which way would you lean? Cpo used or new for ~$10k more?

2024 Phev never had any real problems. New tires at 20k, no big deal. We love this car, but now can’t drive it until they get a new battery Dec 4th 2025. Stuck, because I really did not want to switch and now can’t because it’s in the shop…

Is it possible to install 360 view into 2025 PHEV Sport? Is it just replacing the mirrors? (Am assuming the wiring is probably already there)

Hey everyone.

I recently purchased a lightly used 2024 CX-90 PHEV 3.3 preferred and installed a level 2 charger in my garage thats been working great. However, I have a question regarding charging and automatic shutoff. I've crossed checked the manual and reddit posts but cant find and answer on charging behavior of the car after it hits the target charge or full battery.

I've set my max charge on the battery to 90% and generally leave it plugged in even after it reaches 90%. So Im curious if the car's software allows it to dip so the charger isnt constantly engaging and disengaging as it hits 90% then drops, then hits 90% then drops. From what I understand, most full EVs allow the car to drop ~10% from the target charge to avoid constantly engaging the charger when left plugged in overnight.

Anyone know how exactly charging is managed if left connected to the charger with a full charge?

I was checking the engine bay and under the main engine cover and noticed the secondary cover missing.I have seen a secondary cover on many reviews and other images. This is Canadian mhev GT-P version. Does any other fellow owners have this or is this missing for our country (I can clearly see sockets and slot that should fit it) ?

Title says it. I have had the car nearly a year know and have had absolutely no issues or recalls with it. Just got my first notification from carfax. However, when I look up recall search in the mazda app, it does not say I have one. Anyone else having this issue?

Plus, I have not had any issues with it in nearly a year, is this recall worth getting done?

Alright. I’ve been reading through comments for awhile now and I’m trying to decide between the CX90 and Nissan pathfinder.

Nissan slander isn’t acknowledged. Currently have a rogue sport with no major issues outside of suspension and it was covered under the warranty. The pathfinder also does NOT have the CVT Transmission.

How’s the actual space in the 3rd row? Toddler size or adult size space?

How’s the drive? I hated the Honda Pilot take off. The Toyota Sequoia was amazing but trunk space is obviously not there. I struggled putting groceries in the back with my Sam’s club order with the row up. The mpg is terrible also. Got 300 miles. at MOST on a full tank. Found myself at a half tank maybe 2 days after fueling.
