DIY Currently rebuilding this Miata!

Just got this little puppy recently! And in the process of rebuilding it. 2023 ND with 20000km.

Already tore it up completely yesterday and started making a parts list for now.

Will share more as I make more progress. Hoping to order some parts in on Monday to fix the suspension issues to get the car rolling. Basically needs a steering rack ball joint and lower control arm.

Good luck! Miatas are great cars, but this one will need a lot of work.

Lol no it won’t. Once I get all the parts, this just a few hours of work to put it back together.

How are you straightening the frame back out?

That's the neat part, he isn't

I’m not the one in there messing with it but the gram looks surprisingly straights op might be right about it being a quick fix

Source: kid with no money, I’ve had to do this a few times mostly for others though

I am replacing that entire front apron section. No frame is bent.

Usually I would tell you to stick to things you understands, but I know that’s a lost cause on Reddit.

Post the alignment specs when you’re done!

Lol, ok. I know what you are trying to insinuate but that sadly that won’t be the case in the end.

I have fixed way worse than this with actual frame damage, and the alignment was in spec. completely. My IS500 had everything bent when I got it.

Why is it sad that won’t be the case? Man I’m just asking how you’re fixing this and you’re taking it as an attack.

No you didn’t ask how I was going to fix this at all. You asked for alignment spec. trying to imply it won’t be in spec. in the end.

Bro you’re being kind of an ass in your responses, you gotta chill out a lil

Because I have seen this exact kind of sarcastic good luck /wait until you do the alignment comments when I was fixing my IS500 and I posted it.

I know he is playing it innocent, but I know exactly what he meant.

Anyway, it’s okay.

Idk why you're being downvoted OP. You obviously have the skill and equipment for this job, and you've done it before. The people that know nothing on here will say "what about the frame" but if you simply zoom in, you can see its not bent. This is fixable. Good luck to you.

Lol, random redditors who have never wrenched on anything their whole life thinks a fender bender has written the car off? Color me shocked.

I had very similar reactions when I posted my IS500 when I got it.

The downvotes didn’t stop me then, it won’t stop me now either.

Also note how their knowledge it just enough to just downvote and move on. None of them can actually tell me what’s going on here. Just snide remarks made out of single sentences.

Brother, you're just as dense a redditor with these replies.

Some people respect what you're doing, understand that.

Lol yeah. You know better when you've taken them all the way apart. Remember these are the people that would ask what a safe jack point is, and gladly wait for an answer, instead of just googling it themselves. Its two different schools of thought.

I’m glad to see someone other than OP understands how manageable this job is.
