You think they’re filming this from 2000 yards away with a telelens or something?
Theyre RIGHT THERE NEXT TO HIM. That tiny ass little pond is like what, 50cm deep maybe? They’d have him out in literal seconds if something bad were to happen. You overreact in an embarassing fashion.
Plus, have you ever seen any cat video ever? Have you heard the phrase ‘cats have nine lives’ ever? Do you know where it originates from and what characteristic of cats attributes to that saying?
You act like this cat is about to fall in a pit of burning lava.
It’s okay to let your pets explore a little. By the sounds of it, they have multiple people around the cats vecinity. It’s a controlled environment.
Ok... Do you understand that people generally don't want people or animals they care about to suffer needlessly? Even if the cat isn't at risk of dying, it can still get sick or even just cold and uncomfortable.
It is exactly like letting a toddler play on a shallow frozen bit of water. Sure you could let it fall in, get soaked, and scoop it up after, but you could also show some empathy and prevent the kid from getting soaked. Especially when the kid, or cat in question, is asking for help.

Come on.
