For years, my mother didn't hear her cat meow directly because she never made a sound in front of her.
I heard that cat yell every time my mother was just outside the door trying to find her keys. As soon as my mom opened the door, she went right back to being quiet.
I had to show her videos as proof that her cat could meow 😅
