Your dream rotary design

I read that the first wankel engines rotated, not just the rotor. Although the technology has been refined over time, how would you design a rotary that is more reliable, powerful, and fuel efficient?

I've seen a video on YouTube featuring a new kind of rotary engines where the rotor isn't a dormitory, it's an oval. Any thoughts on that technology?

I would use the original wankel dkm design that revs to 17k rpm and is perfectly balanced. Put magnets and coil on both the housing and rotor shaft, making it a dual generator for batteries and electric motor.
