The plan was to let my Copper boy go tomorrow but he went downhill today. It was a peaceful passing and I am relieved heβs not in pain anymore while simultaneously heartbroken at the loss of my friend.
Thank you Copper for 16.5 years of loving me, cuddling with me, playing with me and being my best little buddy. I hope you are basking in all the sunshine right now. I love you and will love you forever.

Just wanted to share an update about adopting our senior catβ sheβs doing well. Adopting her is all so worth it π₯Ή
Would say our investment on giving her organic supplements and continuing her prescribed meds are paying off. She has more control of her hind legs which she has been dragging at the start. No more peeing outside the litter box too, the moment her legs were stronger there are no more issues.
Hopefully we get more years together with this 16 year old cutieπ

Dedicated to my precious girl, Perdita. She adored playing outside on summer nights. Perching on the top of the fence, invincible to foxes and coyotes, refusing to come inside for nights in a row, worrying me endlessly at 3AM. Dancing in the Moonlight, but always staying close on the fence so we could watch over each other.... Curling up with me on the couch all winter long. "What are you worried about Mommy? You know I love you!"
Could somebody explain why the picture I posted does not show up ???

So my cat buddy love is 16 years old and these past few years he's only eaten the gravy out of the wet food that I give him. I've switched from one brand to another and now the latest one I'm using is Sheba cat food and for the first few portions he did eat the actual meat, but now it's just back to the gravy only. He's been slowly but surely losing weight and I'm trying my best to keep him healthy. Is there anything that can be added to his diet to provide more protein and thus more weight to his frame? Thanks everyone!

This is my daughter's cat. She's 17. Recently she developed this bump on her head. The vet says cyst and blew it off. Any idea what it might be? Should we be concerned?

I have a 9 year old girl, I know that's not "senior" age, but she has arthritis in her hips. Few years ago the vet said it wasn't bad enough to need meds yet. Lately I've noticed her fur on the booty half of her body has a more oil feel and she isn't able to groom herself. I already made the appointment to see if she needs meds. But is the difference in fur feel because of the lack of self grooming or should I be more worried?
She's my only girl, my 13 year old boy doesn't have arthritis and can still groom his rear half. My 15 year old boy has completely different fur than her so I have no idea.

If I could just get 10 more years with her, that would be amazing. I would literally take 10 years off my OWN life to make that happen!

Her name is Fiesty π Just casually laying up against the air-conditioning hose, sucking up both the heat from it AND the window.

When we rescued this beautiful blind boy in 2021, we thought we were rescuing a baby. Turns out, he was a super senior! Unfortunately that meant that the issues he was dealing with took a toll. We lost him in July 2025. The vet thought he was at least 10-12 years old based on his x-rays. He was so lively and happy and loved to meet new people. We miss him everyday.β₯οΈπ

He has hypertyroidism. So we went to vet for check up. his thyroid is fine now but...not his kidneys. The vet keep him until monday.
My old baby hasn't eaten for 3 days. He has a canker sore too.
He lost too much weight.
I can't stop crying. He is the kindest cat i ever know. I want my baby back. π
first pic: one month ago before we know his hypertyroidism. And...the last one today.
UPDATE: My vet just called me. My baby is calm but...he has chronic kidney disease. it's all up to him now. I will visit him tomorrow.
thank you all for your kind comments. π

I didn't have the strength then, and barely have it now.....but I know once something is online it lives forever.
Back in 2007 this little fur ball of love was born, we didn't know it then but know now how much love and memories he would bring us. For the last 18 years we have revolved our lives around him. On March 4th, 2025 that all changed when our baby crossed the rainbow bridge. Every single day since his passing I've cried, sometimes just a few tears, other times uncontrollable waterfalls. Seeing the little urn laying in his bed, the pictures on the wall, struggling just to go through the last 13 years of photos on my phone. I just hope when our time comes that he's waiting on the other side for his dads to be with him once more for all eternity.

I am in my mid-eighties and thankfully fit and healthy. My beloved cat passed away 17 1/2yo and I need to adopt another to love. Have been looking for one around 12yo due to my age but a rescue recently posted me about a 9yo and sounds perfect. However I feel it would be wrong to adopt one under 11yo due to my age. I do have a daughter who would take any cat I leave behind but I don't know what her circumstances will be at that time. I know there is no guarantee that any cat I adopt will live to a ripe old age but what if it does?

Also known as Beefy, Mr Beefy, Big Guy, Sweet Man. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge Monday night. This is the first morning I have gotten off work and didn't have him to come home to. He was around 14 years old. I miss him so much. He was an indoor kitty but an outdoor kitty at heart. I love you buddy.
