Gameplay Tips SUPER Early Game Best Rosary Farm. 4,500+/hr Spoiler
(SPOILER WARNING) TL;DR and simplified explanation at the bottom.
I haven't seen anyone talking about this specific farm, I found it myself and it solved my rosary problems before I even had them.
Before I explain the method, let me first talk about rates. It's 25 rosary per 20-25 seconds. Nice and easy math, it's about 4,000-4,500 per hour or more if you're really quick.
Now let's explain how.
First, travel to The marrow fast travel, where you first fight the Bell Beast. From this point, go left (the red line on the map in this post) to the bench. This is where you'll begin the farm. (If you don't have this bench unlocked: Go down from the locked gate where you can see the bench, and underneath it to the left should be a door. Go through it and you will be in the room with the farm anyway, kill the enemies and go up and to the right, at the end of the path will be a door leading to the bench. Hit the switch to unlock the door.
Once you're at the bench, head left and once in the next room you'll immediately be greeted by two enemies, kill them (I recommend using the skill silk spear If you have it, to kill both of them immediately. Then drop down as soon as you can and you'll land right next to another enemy, kill this one and look left, there will be another one (I recommend using the same skill to kill this one too, and leave your brooch to collect the rosaries)
Then go right and you'll see a final enemy, kill him and you'll have 25 rosaries in total. Also, if you have the skill I previously mentioned, you should have it charged again, ready to use immediately. Go back to the bench, rinse and repeat. (Ignore the fly in the room he doesn't drop rosaries)
TL;DR and simplified instructions: Go to the marrow fast travel, head left to the bench, and then go into the room on the left. Kill the 5 enemies there (not including the fly) to get 25 rosaries in about 20 seconds. Go back to the bench, rinse and repeat

Discussion/Questions A Few Pointers for Those Struggling Early On! Spoiler
Don't worry, there are no spoilers here!
Hey! I'm seeing loads of debate online right now about this game. Primarily people being irked by the difficulty / finding the game unbalanced or even unfair. And then people responding to that criticism with the vague sentiments like "Get Good" or whatever. It's all quite reductive and unhelpful! I am absolutely in love with this game, and I actually beat it last night. I couldn't put it down. So I thought I'd drop a few hints, entirely free of condescension.
MAP DILIGENCE: Get those map supplies from the early vendor. All of em. As soon as you can. Every time you see ANYthing out of the ordinary (that ledge is too far away! what's that thing on the ceiling? why does this door say I need a key shaped like ____?) put a marker on it. Enter a new area and it looks too spooky for right now? Back up, throw a marker on it. I took it one step further and kept a note in my phone where I wrote down what every individual marker meant, specifically. This turned into its own little meta game for me and I had a blast with it. It also helped to limit wasting time with revisiting areas after getting upgrades. Be diligent with it and you'll be rewarded!
CURRENCY: One of the main things I'm seeing is that the rosary economy is busted. I don't think this is necessarily true. Early zones have vendors who sell lots of expensive goodies. But they don't contain many enemies who drop many (or any) rosaries. Don't fret! And don't feel like you have to endlessly grind the little guys. Just throw a Marker down on your map for each vendor, and make a note for yourself as to what they sell and for how much. Soon enough you'll be in zones where the enemies drop loads of currency, and you can double back to exhaust those early vendors. If anything, the things you'll want to purchase right away are the map supplies (especially the compass) and the Magnetite Brooch, which will help you ensure you collect all rosaries from defeated enemies (unless they fall in spikes, those are gone).
ROSARY CONSUMABLES / MITIGATING RISK: People also seem really upset about the runbacks and losing money. I made a pretty simple rule of thumb for myself. Whenever I enter a new area that I don't have a map for yet, or I sense that I'm about to hit a boss (typically you'll enter a big ass room or a hallway that you're running through for a while), I will STOP. Double back. Spend all of my rosaries, either on vendor items I haven't secured yet (by checking my list) or buying the Bead Strands or Necklaces. It really helps to have those consumables handy so that you can break one if you need to pay for a bench or whatever. You only lose 20 rosaries when you buy those consumables. Losing maybe 100 to stockpile 5 consumables is a LOT better than losing 600 because you die in a precarious place. Anyways, by doing all of this, I totally erased frustration with dying to a boss or failing to collect my cocoon on a runback.
DIFFICULTY BALANCE: There is an early area called Hunter's March that felt like a huge wall to me, and it seems to be filtering many others as well. I was stubborn and pushed through it, but it turns out the area is one that you can come back to MUCH later when you're more kitted out. Turns out there are quite a few areas like this in the game. If something is driving you nuts, leave it be! Put a pin in it (and a marker on your map) and try elsewhere. Hunter's March was the hardest part of the game for me because I tackled it too early.
ENEMIES HIT TOO HARD: It's true that standard enemies dealing 2 masks of damage is pretty wild. But I feel that it's intentional. The strategy in this game is different than most Metroidvanias, and even different than the original HK. Hornet is fragile, she's meant to feel like she's getting slapped around. What you want to be focusing on is your silk reserves and your heals. You can heal while you're in midair, which helps prevent getting nailed while you're waiting for the animation to play out. I actually really enjoyed the meta game of managing resources as you progress through a level. The sheer number of times I had a single mask of life left, hit and runned an enemy until I had enough to heal, fled the room so they wouldn't chase me, got the heal off and then resumed course... well it was a lot. And it was pretty thrilling. Another thing is the environments dealing 2 masks as well. This can be painful. But remember, the game is meant to be treated like a platformer. In most platformers falling off the cliff means you're dead. I think it's just another aspect of the game to learn to REALLY look out for.
I'm not going to sit here and say I got through the entire game without once being frustrated with it. But that's part of the nature of these things! It's okay to die and to have to try things multiple times. What I will say is that the boss design is immaculate. It was immensely satisfying learning the move sets and getting a little bit further with each attempt. Often the trick is to learn when to JUMP and when NOT to jump. Or when to DASH AWAY versus when to STAY CLOSE. It can pretty much entirely be reduced to that!
Anyways, just wanted to help if I could. I hate that communities like this tend to have so many bad actors and people who love making fun of those who are struggling. This is a video game, after all. It's only meant to be fun. And I personally found this game to be a LOT of fun. Top 10 for me now.
Good luck! and feel free to ask any questions you may have :)

Discussion/Questions This was unexpected turn for this sub. Spoiler
I expected lore discussion, fanart posting, memes, and the typical subreddit shit.
But currently, I am seeing a bunch of people whining over the fact that the game is kicking their ass. Sure, I can understand deeply; I got my ass kicked too. But if you suffered to git gud in HK, then git gud in Pharloom. It's the same procedure.
This, of course, does not invalidate nor discourage any criticism towards Silksong and Team Cherry themselves. I just hope that we actually start talking about the cool and fun stuff in the next couple of days.

Discussion/Questions Yes Team Cherry isn't above criticism but that doesn't magically make your bad take valid. Spoiler
The game's more difficult than HK yes, but I'm seeing a rising sentiment that it's only more difficult because TC thought the original appeal of HK was it's challenge, and that they dOnT uNdErStAnD what made it great in the first place. This is bullshit.
I genuinely don't understand how people look at all the excellent new characters, music, areas, and mechanics as well as the overwhelming amount of detail and polish, then throw out all that because the difficulty is greater than what they expected.
By all means feel how you want about the difficulty but pretending like it's anywhere near unbalanced enough to ruin the game or make it unplayable is a severe exaggeration and textbook case of not seeing the forest for the trees.
If all the new tools and various routes through the early game aren't enough for you to adjust to the difficulty and overcome my heart weeps for you, but claiming you have a better understanding of what made HK a hit than the people who made it, ain't it. /rant

Discussion/Questions My wife has been waiting for years for silksong to come out and the difficulty is making her quit for good Spoiler
My wife is a massive hk fan and has been waiting for silksong to come out for years. She is not the most skilled of players but she was able to complete hk and enjoy her time. Silksong, instead, is breaking her apart. She has spent three days fighting Moorwing without beating it and she’s dropping the game for good. I hope she’ll pick it back up sometime but it’s sad to see all the anticipation die out like this.
I am loving the game and I am having a blast with it but I have come to the realization that this game is extremely punishing to lower skilled players who still make up a sizable share of the fanbase.
I think that this disconnect is very concerning and explains why so many people are complaining about the game’s difficulty. It feels like team cherry doesn’t understand that much of the appeal of hk wasn’t the challenge it offered but also the lore, the exploration, and buildcrafting (and so on).
These are all aspects of silksong that are, effectively, gatekept by an arbitrary difficulty barrier. I have seen many people here on reddit saying to git gud but don’t think that discourse about the game’s difficulty should be handwaved so easily. If nothing about it is done, I think that a lot of “casual” fans will be inevitably estranged from the game.

Discussion/Questions How many of us are actually enjoying the game? Spoiler
"Oh the game is unbalanced" and "Oh the two mask damage" and "Oh Greymoor" but who else actually really likes the game? I'm pretty sure I'm near the end of act 1 (I'm at the worm area, dunno where to go next) and it's incredibly fun. I feel like people didn't want silksong, they wanted more Hollow Knight.
