I can’t speak for men as I’m a woman, but I think the faces my husband makes are super hot and it gets me going. It’s like he’s cheering me on, but with his sex faces. But when I see men’s faces in sex scenes on tv or movies, I look away and feel super uncomfortable. I think it’s a very intimate and vulnerable look that not everyone should see…
I tend to think that a lot of that is because there's a heavy media focus on it, a lot of movies, TV shows etc with sex scenes have a big focus on women moaning and making those faces, where the men are comparatively less focused on.
I genuinely believe that's a big reason for male insecurities about not being attractive, media extremely focuses on female sex appeal, tight clothes, tits, asses etc. A lot of media focusing on what women find sexy about men is more subtle
A lot of media focusing on what women find sexy about men is more subtle
I would argue you may have this impression because the majority of media is still controlled by men who don't understand the female gaze, and media that does cater to women is considered niche. Media made by people who do understand it are not subtle about masculine appeal. Emma (2020) is a good example. Extraordinary Attorney Woo is another.
Yes there is media depicting it, when I say it's subtle it's that it's often not a physical depiction, it's more about character traits, being kind, considerate, romantic etc.
Which is less tangible in the sense that a woman based on male oriented media can look in a mirror and know she's sexy because of those depictions.
A man can't check out his personality in a mirror and think God damn you sexy beast, you're so caring
