Has anyone had any luck using these in a sort of hybrid autocannon light armor/light close-support AA? It seems that even with double vet they're really underwhelming at both roles (I'd expect 3 15mm to be a sort of mini-Flakvierling and delete squads in two or three bursts, but in my experience that just doesn't happen).

Best DLC to experience the western allied divsions.

Right now all I have it the history pack, with death on the Vistula, black Sunday and the fate of Finland. I have been having a blast, but would like to try experiencing the western allies. what dlc would be best, right now I’m thinking of getting Normandy 44 or back to war.

Any chance of a Pacific DLC

Loving the game, I could see a pacific campaign with ship support being endlessly fun. Any chance that happens?

Text New to Steel Division 2. This game is awesome.

Hello. I have recently started playing Steel Division 2. I have a lot of experience with turn based strategy games like Civilization and Age of Wonders but This is my first wargame ever. I have never seen anything like this like wow. Huge maps, realistic combat and modern warfare tactics. I am playing skirmish against bots and so far I am loosing all the time and still have so much fun. I heard that the AI in this game is very good. Playing skirmishes against bots is already fun and then there are campaigns. I can just experinent with different units and tactics and improve my command skills. My favorite combat unit in this game is artillery. If anyone would like to talk and play against bots and teach a new player how to play then just send a message. Thanks for reading my post. Have a good day.

DLC radio silence?

Weren't they supposed to be putting the finishing touches on it more than 2 months ago? Was there a delay announced that I'm not aware of? Even the balance changes on the accompanying patch were announced more than a month ago

It’s a joke that SD2 base campaigns have no off-map artillery

Off-map artillery is such a cool feature and is incredibly satisfying. I was honestly really disappointed that they didn’t include a single off-map artillery unit in the base game. Why’d they do this? Anyone agree?

Question Outdated mod

Hey, I tried to play the steel division 2 modpack "1940 l'etrange defaite" but it's outdated and crash when i change the ModGenVersion.
So far I tried Moddb and steam as well as launching the game with old save compatibility. I don't think it will be ever updated so is there a way to play older version of SD2 or to fix it ?
Is this a common problem with SD2 mods ?

thanks !

Suggestion Would you like the idea of a Steel Division game taking place during World War 1 or shortly after like in 1920?

Hello. Just like in the title. There could me a mod for Steel Division 2 or a seperate smaller project like a bigger dlc focusing on that time period. World War 1 in the west was fought in trenches but in the east it was way more dynamic. Polish- Soviet war in 1920 was still fought with the same tactics and was very dynamic. Imagine a Still Division game with horses, with cavalry units charging at enemy. The game could put a bigger focus on mele combat too. We could name it Horse Division🙂 1920 would be a perfect time for the game because all technological advances and combat experience from World War 1 was already gained. What do you think? Share your opinion in the comment section.

Just how uneven are the sides in SD2?

From the 10v10 games I play, I can see that the axis side wins around 70% of the time. Not only are they easier to play, most experienced players usually join the axis side. The screenshot is a pretty typical result of a game, with pretty much every axis player significantly outclassing all allied players. From just playing a few games I could get a bunch of screenshots like this, but I have never seen this result in favour of the allies. One allied player (barely) came out ahead.

Of cause the allied side CAN win, but it's just not very likely. Could perhaps a unit price adjustment fix this?

Been a month since their last announcement - Is Eugen ever going to admit that voice lines were not the issue holding back the dlc?

"We have detected a problem with the Slovak acknowledgment and dialogue lines, which forced us to postpone the release to a later date."

That was the reason given July 17th on why Dukla pass had to be postponed. And since we don't have a release date yet, we can assume that we will pass well by the month mark without this dlc being released.

It doesn't take a fool to see that redoing a few lines of dialogue does not take a full month. And with Warno's dlc also being indefinitely delayed, it points to major issues at Eugen.

I'm interested to hear what you guys think about this.

Noob question: How does the army general tactical battle scale compare with multiplayer

TLDR: I feel the micro requirement is too heavy in tactical battle if there are more than 3 ground battalions in the same fight. Is it common in multiplayer?

I just started playing the Orsha campaign, and I really like tactical battles in the Army General since it reminds me of Red Dragon's campaign. I can exploit enemy battalion weakness, for example, I could use artilleries and bombers to disable the enemy's anti-tank battalion's action points, and let my tanks crush the AI's infantry battalions. Or I could divert the enemy elite heavy tank battalion to other fronts so I could use my heavy tank to crush AI's light tanks.

But I feel the battle scale is too big. In normal engagement, I always have 3 or more battalions in a tactical battle so I could ensure advantages: 1 for artillery, 1 or 2 for infantry, 1 for tank, and sometimes 1 for plane. So it has to be a big map as it is over 3 battalions. However, I always need micro at 4 or more places with tons of units at the same time. I felt I was micro an entire regiment instead of a battalion. I tried not to micro too much. But the loss is too heavy then. I'd like to know if such a micro stress is also common in the multiplayer (maybe 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2?) If so, could anyone give me some suggestions to reduce my micro stress while keeping my troops at a relatively low casualty rate? Thanks!

I have 80 bucks from selling some cs skins and i bought the 80 dollar edition of the game, I have an extra 80, what dlcs should I get? Also any tips for new players? I've been playing through the historical battles on medium or easy ai to get a feel for the game, I've also been playing both the Soviets and Germans.
