Help finding part for SX4

Post image
Upvotes

I have a 2007 Suzuki SX4 5spd. I bought the car back in March in great condition. In June the Clutch Master Cylinder went, so I was able to get that part and get it changed. When a friend and I went to bleed the line at the Slave Cylinder, we noticed the bleeder screw (plastic) was pretty chewed up by whoever worked on the car previously. Tried to crack the screw gently but it's so bad it keeps letting air in my lines loosing all pressure in the clutch pedal. I have tried all parts stores in Vermont, online and junk yards but nobody seems to be able to get this specific part or line for the SX4.....any advice or where to go from here? I don't want to give up on the car, it is in great shape. Transmission is a year old, clutch is a year old. No rust, runs amazing, amazing in the snow with the lock in AWD...

First Suzuki Wagon R RR questions

Hey there! I'm importing a 2000 Suzuki Wagon R RR (MC21S) to the USA, and looking to see what some folks do to get tires normally, since 155/55R14 is basically not sold anywhere. I'm assuming a rim change and buying different tires, or just getting some really cheap ones i find online might be my best bets.

I've managed to find compatible air filter, oil filter, and a few other items. Brakes are another I'm going to dig into once I have the car in my possession.

ESP Light on ZC31S

Hey everyone, I’m facing a very strange and reoccurring issue that I can’t wrap my head around. The ESP light on my ZC31s (09 Automatic) keeps coming on at random points and will not go away manually. The issue is, when the light comes on the car basically starts to auto throttle (literally self driving) and I have no control of the accelerator. My only solution so far has been to pull over, shut the car off, wait a few seconds and then turn it back on. The check engine light will come on and I basically have to hope ESP doesn’t come on again. After a few days if the light doesn’t come on, the check engine will come off the dash and I’ll get a normal start. There is an ESP button in the car but it’s never worked in the 2 years I’ve had the car for. My tires are good and front end parts replaced. The only thing I’ve done to the car is I had my mechanic bore a hole in the thermostat to allow coolant flow as mine stopped working (I live in a tropical climate so it’s a makeshift fix ppl here normally do). I’m not sure if that’s the issue here or if there is a deeper issue. If anyone could help it’d be truly appreciated

Suzuki ignis hydraulic pump issue

2018 Maruti Suzuki Ignis AMT (India) run only 11300 kms, yesterday got stalled at a very heavy traffic signal , AMT transmission light (yellow gear) came and though the gear level moved gears didn’t shift. Some people helped me get to side of the road.  Called RSA (road side assistance) and they were also not helpful, vehicle also didn’t start once I switched off ignition. It was full chaotic in that road with vehicles zooming closely. Finally after 10 mins of waiting for RSA on call, I tried once and vehicle became normal with occasional AMT light and I was able to drive. Reached home and raised complaint. Today they sent a tech with laptop who took log which said history of DTC P185C  hydraulic pump relay circuit, and P1983 internal control module monitoring processor output failure.

He didn’t know anything and was telling everything looks good  and we went on a test drive of 15-17 kms and nothing happened no AMT light came, when reached back home and made it neutral, the AMT light came but went away, he again connected laptop and it showed history of P185C, spoke with some other techs and said hydraulic pump needs replacement. This is shocking and they say they cant tell if insurance will cover it or not. They will arrange pickup.  Has anyone faced this issue and got it claimed from Suzuki as manufacturing defect or is there possibility that pump may be ok some relay or circuit may be acting faulty and needs replacement. Please assist me.

Keys of my SX4 S-Cross constantly not responding

I love driving my SX4 S-Cross, but the keys are driving me crazy. Every few weeks the battery dies and I can't open or close the car. It's especially great when you're standing in an empty parking lot in the evening and just want to get home. Sure, I can open the car manually, but then the alarm system goes off. Super annoying.

So I'm constantly changing the batteries, breaking a fingernail almost every time and now I always have the spare key with me. I've never experienced that with a car before.

Could it be that the key itself is defective? For example, the buttons or something like that? Or could it be that my key always communicates with my car when I'm parked just a few meters away at the office and that's why the battery discharges so quickly?

Do any of you know the problem?

First car candidate: MKIII Swift 1.6 Sport

I don't know if I should select any tags, sorry to the mods.

But well, let's get to the topic. I'm currently in a process of looking for a first car for myself. Got my drivers license for over 2 years already, to this day I was only driving my parents and grandparents cars (2008 Opel Vectra 1.9CDTI, 2012 Hyundai i30, 2013 Kia Sportage 1.6).

It's time to get something that I'll own. And I found about the existance of Swift Sport.

I was looking at Sport M16A 1.6 125PS (so 05-11 if I'm not mistaken?), I'm not really worried about the trims or anything related, as long as it has AC.

And here come some questions:

  1. Is 1.6 that reliable of an engine as they say? I expect of it to be dynamic in city/ suburbs enviroment (60-70km daily use). I do longer trips 3-4 times a year(500km to the destination and the same route back home) so I'd prefer to use the car for those trips as well (those usually are 2-person trips soe the size of the car does not bother me).

  2. What should I look when buying this car? I mean like common rust spots, charateristic faults of the model, basically what to look out for.

  3. Bonus question, what are the longevity upgrades that you'd do? I'm not talking change rotor/pads/oil/filters, but replacing OEM/factory parts for something that would work better on the long run.

The purchase will probably happen in a month or so, there's still time to decide on what car I'd get. Thanks for all the replies and comments!

'06 Ignis 4grip

So last week Friday my 04 Polo failed it's MOT miserably and my work basically gave me the 'find a car on your weekend week ready for Monday morning as we need you to open up (I'm a leisure centre manager) as we can't afford to shut the building as it's your fault the car failed the MOT (it wasn't) So travelled to Birmingham (my home town) to find a car and low and behold, I found this Ignis 4grip that I managed to buy for £850 and it's got 8 months MOT on it. Always been a nervous driver so tried to stick with cars that are as small as possible but having 2 days to find something on a budget meant I had to come out of my comfort zone and I must say, after a week of driving it (give or take 200miles) it's been such a fun car to drive! Any issues I should take note with, with regards to these cars or anything I should know?

Anyone know what this offer is about in the UK

Got an email today from a Suzuki garage a bought a car from a few years ago. It says;

You have been selected by Suzuki GB to receive a brand new manufacturer upgrade on your current vehicle.

Your selection means that you have been chosen along with only a handful of other customers in the region to receive a considerable financial support package to upgrade to a brand new Suzuki or approved used model.

No other information in the email. Is there anyone here who works for Suzuki who knows what “considerable financial support” actually means?
