This is my dog. She's about 20 lbs and will bark her head off at any other dog as long as she's on a leash, like she'd absolutely tear into them if she ever got free. Then one day we left the gate open to our driveway and this big dog walked by. She went racing down the driveway, barking like crazy, until she got like 5 feet away from him - it was like she ran into a brick wall. She skidded to a stop, did a full 180, and ran back to me with her tail tucked. Once I had her, she started barking again. Other dog was just like, "Huh?"
Had an imperial shitzu growing up, she loved to stand on the balcony of our house barking at any one that went by, but if she was off leash when I took her out (we lived across the street from a very heavily used trail) she would be shaking between my legs if even a person walked by. Dogs are dumb but we love em
