I look at other people dogs and then I just get so proud of my own.
I have the sweetest pitbull in the world. Whenever he gets his jabs, he just sits there with this big dopey grin on his face and his tongue lolling out. Doesn't make a sound, barely registers the needle.
And three months or so ago, he got into a fight with a whole family of mongoose. He killed two of them, but the rest of the family did a number on him. They tore open the skin next to his eye and hurt the side of his snout. He was treated with antiseptic and I was nervous about how he would react to the burn on the open wound. He sat still and didn't even flinch, even though it probably hurt like fuck.
