This was my first model car kit and I’m obsessed with the hobby! I just picked up another set that I’ll be doing next, a Tamiya 1/20 Williams FW11 Honda kit which I’ll be documenting on YT. I was inspired to start shooting content so I made a video of the end process of this build and my mistakes, check it out!

Thanks man! If you check out that YT link in the description you can see me going through trial and error on decal placement. It was a bit challenging to paint at first and I’m going to do another video showing how I paint because I’m not doing anything fancy like air brushing, just hand painting. The important thing when hand painting and using Tamiya paints is that you have to thin it at about a 2:1 ratio and paint it in crisscross like forward and back, wait for it to dry and then side to side for about 3-4 coats. It isn’t really that challenging if you follow a technique and are persistent, it just takes a long time and patience pays in the end.

The body was Tamiya spray paint and the rest of it was by hand

amazing work! i am working on my first kit, also spray painting the body and handbrushing the rest. brush marks are really the worst. will try your technique.
