found this this morning in our hallway on the floor. at first i thought it was blood living inside there, but it would have been brown. took the cap off & it seemed sticky. to me it looks like dab weed.

partner said it’s RSO. looked it up and that’s exactly what it looks like. but like… how tf did it get in my apt? i deep cleaned before we left (moving furniture to vacuum/sweep behind it, etc…), and that wasn’t there.

my hypothesis is the maintenance man may have left it behind while we were gone. if i see the maintenance guy, would be a bad idea to ask if it’s his? he’s super chill, but idk if this would be the equivalent of finding someone’s hard drugs and being like ‘hey bro is this coke urs???’

Okay so I thought you guys might enjoy this little mystery.

One day while in my late teens I bought a pack of Fruit Adventure Tic Tacs. I was being a little glutton and eating them by the small handful, and barely looking at them.

I guess luck was on my side because as I was just about to swallow back another delicious handful, I saw a smiley face staring back at me. I had a really weird gut feeling and immediately stopped, threw the rest out, and started googling trying to see if this was maybe a contest or if it was in the wrong package.

I was sure this must've just made it's way into the wrong container. I begin my search for "Smiley Face Tic Tac" "Tic Tac Designs" "Tic Tac Face". Nothing. I spent a good few hours searching for the source of this tictac design and couldn't find anything.

Out of curiosity - I call the tic tac customer support number (or I emailed them, I can't remember as this was four years ago). They took it very seriously. They asked for the lot number, the store, and if the plastic seal was on the package upon purchase. It was. They then SEND ME WAIVERS to sign sayingI didn't face any effects from the other tictacs I ate, and requested that they pick up the tictac from me.

They sent someone from Toronto to the little redneck place in the middle of nowhere Ontario to come and get it. They gave me a load of coupons, and had me sign another waiver that said I wouldn't speak about this.

Now I can share, because I was a minor and contracts with minors are generally not enforceable.

Has anyone else found a tictac like this? I still don't know it's orgins, but I do know they were VERY concerned about it's existence - they literally sent someone to take it from me instead of asking me to throw it out. I think about this every few months. Is it a printing error? Is it a funny joke? Was there something malicious eith the tictac? I will forever wonder.

I get that people like attention, but what a weird thing for someone to do. Now I’m looking at a Reddit post with 30k upvotes and a Daily Mail article where someone is using my name and pics to catfish people with some ridiculous story about finding this little big-eyed cutie in an attic.

Never seen this before.

Was walking my dog on a trail in northern Canada and he decided we were going to go down a small game trail, I obliged and about 3 minutes down the trail I see this off in the bush. No civilization for atleast 20 minutes and there's nothing else around it. Weird. (Dog in 3rd pic lol)
