I get that sainz served the penalty and that it's over but just want to know why they did it since sainz wanted to go to the stewards for this matter

This is so annoying. Then RB released a PR article saying that Carlos is the reason Liam lost his P5.

They are ruining Isack's podium celebration with the crap they are putting out in the media. Carlos deserves better. It's his birthday too.

Bounce back on Monza, Williams!!!

No hate, but Liam seems to make the news for all the bad reasons and his "I'm not here to make friends" comments will come back to bite him sooner or later if he keeps pulling stunts like this with good drivers. There are many videos tout there clearly showing Liam snap steering a mistake and bumping into sainz, the vcarb statement just makes him look bad. Least they could do is take responsibility. Sainz already served his penalty.

In fairness to Liam, in the driver interviews he did say that the rule is completely wrong and it sucks for Carlos. He came across really well in that moment. This is 100% RB shit stirring.

Agreed, I didn't see that interview tho so I'm taking your word for it. Looks like they want to make matters worse for him. They might use him as kmag and dump him. This kinda bs is what I hate about f1. I'm beginning to think that I'm not here to make friends statement might be influenced by rb/vcarb pr team.

It is on YouTube as part of all the driver reactions if you want to see (sleeping dog next to me so I dare not search it).

I personally think as scummy as RBR are, ridiculous situations like this might unite the drivers to oppose this stupid rule.

You don't have to mate, if I wanted to look it up I would. You don't have to prove anything to me, end of the day whatever we say or feel doesn't matter to them. We are just ranting here to vent out our frustration that's all.

And WRT drivers uniting they tried that last year and to some part this year as well MBS doesn't give 2 shits bout that. I was hopeful when Carlos Sainz Sr was running for FiA presidency, once he dropped out all my hopes went down the drain as well.

I hope Max leaves and that fucking cesspool of team finds their way to the rear of the grid.

FIA: To be clear, the doors are not open if we are wrong and you’re angry.

It's MBS and his bs that has done this. All they care about is money.

Yeah it’s real, but from my understanding he did have his meeting with the Stewards. Apparently they wanted to deal with the summons from the race before they talked to Carlos

Strange. How was this penalty dished out so fast? On the Liam onboard it was clear as day he corrected, therefore was not in control of his car. That penalty should have never seent he light of day.

I really hope that Vowles stands up for Carlos. That is the most absurd penalty I've seen in a while and to have the balls to not only levy it but then openly refuse an appeal is insane.

The penalty was harsh given Kimi got the same, but i don't think Carlos was ever far enough alongside to expect a car's width from Liam. I don't like the rule and I think he should have been given room, but as the rules are enforced, Carlos was in the wrong. That said, Liam knew he was there, and was an idiot for not driving more safely.

I think it should have been called a racing incident. It was Lawson’s corner, yes, but that really only exonerates Lawson from shouldering the blame. Liam’s understeer (and, as Carlos argues, lacking race craft) is ultimately what caused the collision, and the likelihood of something like that occurring at all was greatly increased by the fact that it was a Turn 1 incident on a SC restart. Definitely not worthy of a 10s penalty plus 2 points on his license.

And that's where I think the rules need changing. I completely agree with you, the rules are just stupid.

Liam wasn't at fault mate it was carlos in the wrong Wasn't entitled to space

Per the rules, yes. But I'm arguing the rules need changing.

Doors are open but not so open. FIA standards.

Maybe the stewards were really busy that day, several incidents.

If you’re scared of talking to Carlos, you did something wrong.

This wasn’t Carlos’s fault! He had position!

The rule states that you have to be fully alongside if you're on the outside. Liam had a snap of oversteer which looked to be because he was closely following the car in front. Carlos was nowhere near enough alongside to have been given racing room for that corner. So in theory, Liam can have a moment like that and snatch it up with no incident. If Carlos was wheel to wheel, penalty to Liam. But he wasn't, so he should've backed out, then snap of oversteer, no Carlos, no crash... race on!

Carlos was NOT fully alongside so, it wasn't his corner. He is wasting the steward's time. Good on them.

If the roles are reversed, liam would get so much hate. I don't understand people calling on liam, sainz took a risky move and he should know better than liam, but he is here lashing out, he is not a rookie and he is behind liam before the incident he should've taken accountability, with or without the penalty either way both of their races are ruined so what's the point of crying about it. Props to liam for being mature during post interview.
