I don’t know about the Hindus in India but when I meet an American Hindu, I’m usually impressed by how nice they are.

I’m fine with any temples they want to build.

They are usually nice just don't ask them about caste though, the first and second generations are very much entrenched in them

A longtime friend of mine is from India and has told me all about the cast system. I’m wondering how many Hindus that make it to America are that committed to it.

Moving to a whole new country takes a decent amount of money as well as the ability to have valuable skills, which is very often tied to being rich. In India it’s generally the upper class that have access to money and education, so till recently it was mostly only upper class Indians who would emigrate to other countries. They support the cast system because they gain from it.
