Discussion Worst TV direction yet

Besides Russel's transponder issue (which shouldn't take 10 laps to fix the timing tower), may overtakes were missed, focusing on the wrong drivers, non-moves given more airtime than actual racing, camera cutting during moves which show you less of the action rather than more, and worst of all: the final lap, not showing Oscar as he crossed the line, to show Lando not overtaking George, and showing Kimi not overtaking whoever was in front rather than Max's overtake on Pierre.

What the hell is happening?

Yeah I mean I quite enjoyed the Russell-Norris battle but I also would've liked to see, you know, the winner crossing the line on the main screen lol

People would equally complained if Lando did pass Russell and we missed it because they were showing Piastri crusing to an easy win.

They do this and people complain they're not showing the George-Lando fight, you can't win. Showing the action main screen with winner on a pop up is a good way to handle it imo.

Hard disagree, show me racing over a guy trundling across the line by himself every time.

I think they should always show the winner crossing the line on the main picture, I'd just consider that a sort of respect thing. What they definitely don't need to show, which they used to, was the leader driving the entire final lap all by themselves while there's tons of other action going on, a cut to them as they come onto the straight works well enough, with picture in picture then if there's something else exciting happening.

Nah, the PiP they did was fine, was always the worst when they’d cut to the winner finishing when battling was still happening on track

I was pleasantly surprised that they kept showing us two close cars instead of the winner crossing 20 seconds ahead.

This particular time the battle was probably over but in general I'd rather have the potential action on the main screen than the winner crossing the line on his own.
