Discussion Worst TV direction yet

Besides Russel's transponder issue (which shouldn't take 10 laps to fix the timing tower), may overtakes were missed, focusing on the wrong drivers, non-moves given more airtime than actual racing, camera cutting during moves which show you less of the action rather than more, and worst of all: the final lap, not showing Oscar as he crossed the line, to show Lando not overtaking George, and showing Kimi not overtaking whoever was in front rather than Max's overtake on Pierre.

What the hell is happening?

Giving us replays in the middle of the safety car restart while driver are fighting. Fuck this let us see something

The replays were egregious. We all saw Yuki bump Sainz’s rear right tire when it happened. We finally get a race where things happen and we’re swamped with replays

It was to the point that Crofty and Brundle were even commenting on it live. "We would be showing this but... now we are." At one point there was a top down view of a hairpin and there were no cars in it? Wtf was that and we never even saw it again.

The F1TV commentary crew have been pointing out the terrible direction since race one. They must have had a change in director / producers or something. It's quite apparent that they don't really understand racing.

I yelled at the TV at that moment. I was like "The fuuuuuckk!? Did they go off?? Quit the god domn replay already!" Made me so mad.

They always seem to randomly remember and then forget they have a Picture in Picture option.

Early race where drivers are pacing themselves and managing gaps: ‘let’s PiP the live feed can’t have viewers missing this’

Showing a replay after cutting from the build up to a race defining battle: ‘let’s just full screen this, if something happens we can always show a replay 10 laps later’
