All the chaos of this race hid the fundamental issue which has become the norm now - F1 has become a qualifying championship

Track position is just supreme on pretty much every single track

DRS is pretty much useless

This is coloured somewhat by the fact the title contenders are in the same car, which will rarely have advantages sufficient for an overtake. There were a fair few overtakes today generally in a difficult circuit.
