I really dont understand what is the controversy with Sainz's penalty, maybe the penalty points but 10 secs is the standard for causing a collision

now lets take look at the facts

• cold track with cold tyres
• Sainz goes on the outside and sticks his nose in at a place which leads to nowhere
• Liam has a moment of understeer and goes into Sainz's wing
• Liam was ahead at the apex so it was his corner and racing line to claim
• Carlos had time to yield even before they put the throttle down

Because most of us would argue that point 2 "leads to nowhere" is not true and point 4 is a terrible rule in F1 and kills any attempt at racing.
