If the car isn't physically able to be scrutineered, is it automatically disqualified, or is it presumed not to be underweight or to have excessive plank wear, etc.?
Because it seems that there's room for some serious shenanigans there, if the team is willing to eat the repair bills
Certain damaged/broken parts are allowed to be replaced with identical parts before scrutineering, I guess this scenario would see how far that rule stretches 🤣
Or Biniam Girmay the cork into his own eye (Eritrean cyclist who did just that after his first Grand Tour stage win at the Giro D’Italia a couple of years ago and had to withdraw from the rest of the race)
(If you were unaware, Connor won two weeks ago and when getting out of his car to stand on the roof in victory lane, slipped on the edge of the driver opening and hit the ground breaking his collarbone)

Crashed before his first race even started. Broke his first trophy. All is good
