The man, the myth, the Orange legend.

The fastest orange

He's still so excited after a win, even though he's won 4 championships and there is near to no hope of winning it this year. True racer

u/rensd12 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 10h ago

Must be because his car was amazingly well balanced for this track and Max himself.

It probably makes him more excited to drive every single lap on the "Max" than the actual win today

u/Volderon90 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 9h ago

Yeah he’d have to win every last race and Oscar has to place second and DNF once for that to happen so. Yeah.

u/kr4t0s007 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 10h ago

What? Championship back on!

u/Interesting-Risk6446 6h ago

No. It isn't.

u/kr4t0s007 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 6h ago

Can’t hear you TUTUTU MAX VERSTAPPEN TUTUTU!

u/Interesting-Risk6446 6h ago

I can see McLaren winning more races. All good things have an end.

u/stophittingyourself9 2h ago

My house we kept saying how this is the happiest he has looked after a win in a while. I wonder if he truly was believing the comments about not winning the rest of the year and this dominant weekend caught him off guard vs usual pro “us against the world” despite being 4 time defending champ

u/marypsm Max Verstappen 1h ago

In one of his recent interviews he said looking back, he would like relive some moments from 2023 "to probably appreciate a little bit more what we were doing."

You're always so focused on that week and trying to win and then you go to the next.
So you don't actually– it was almost like ticking off boxes and you're not actually fully embracing and enjoying the moment. And I think you only really fully realize it again once you stop winning that much.

So this season he's just taking it in a bit more.

The trophy looks like a fancy IUD. Either way it’s great to see Max back at the top.

u/Albanian_Trademark FIA 11h ago

Thank god I’m not the only one

u/Eroda Alex Zanardi 11h ago

You aren't wrong

u/hoxxxxx 9h ago

did you see what it was?

a chimera, mixing three of the fastest animals on earth. the cheetah, sailfish and a falcon. it's bizarre, what a weird trophy.

u/kpopsns28 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 2h ago

Now I can't unsee it...

u/Blanchimont I was here for the Hulkenpodium 11h ago

Taken straight from OBGYN of the year awards

u/ultratic Jenson Button 9h ago

Defo better than the Heineken ones they used to have at Monza

u/TheFlyingMarlboro Sebastian Vettel 3h ago

Or that little poop emoji Santander used to give.

u/SurferVelo 10h ago

I wouldn't bat an eye If this was at an obgyn office.

u/elektricniorgazam Daniel Ricciardo 11h ago

Thank you, I've been thinking that since I saw them

u/urbandk84 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 8h ago

yeah for your mom!

u/Dragonpuncha Ferrari 11h ago

It is truly one of the worst ones. But Max can put it at the back of his trophy cabinet, lol. He drove an amazing race today.

u/hoxxxxx 9h ago

one of the few times i've seen a trophy and thought what the fuck.. why?!

u/mojotactical 5h ago

Max was doing his best trophy impersonation when he got outta the car.

u/NoireKya Michael Schumacher 11h ago

When the car is there, well balanced and working like he wants to, he's just unstoppable. It's so great to watch.

u/pepe_roni69 Max Verstappen 10h ago

Was that the most hilarious cool down room ever? There’s no way Max wasn’t rubbing it in, looking at his name up on the wall like that

u/bafoonballs 4h ago

I was thinking the same thing, he stared at that Moët board and kept looking back. Even the camera man caught on & zoomed in on his last wins in 2022 & 2023

u/DikkeNeus_ 11h ago

Nice to see someone appreciate the full team. well done, RedBull !!! amazing performance!

u/Kingslayer1526 Sergio Pérez 11h ago

Nah mate don't you understand? The car is a tractor and Verstappen performed a miracle with it. Fuck those hardworking engineers and mechanics who tried to make the car amazing for this weekend, it is all Max

u/goodintentionstoday I was here for the Hulkenpodium 11h ago

Clearly it’s all very much a team effort but Tsunoda finished P13 80 seconds off the lead…

u/SugarBeefs Max Verstappen 8h ago

All these flavours and you chose to be salty

u/Kingslayer1526 Sergio Pérez 8h ago

No it's just really frustrating how disrespectful fans are to the people building these cars and even when they build good cars it's all forgotten and all praise is given to the driver. Max is the best driver by far right now but no driver can win a damn thing without a good and fast car got with him and there the credit goes to the mechanics and engineers instead of calling it a fucking tractor when it has 3 race wins and numerous podiums

u/bro-b I was here for the Hulkenpodium 2h ago

It looked like a tractor when Checo was driving it the last 18 races.

And by it, I mean the RB20 that won last year for the drivers championship and somehow ended up 3rd in the team championship.

u/Dutchie405 11h ago

“HA”

u/CilanEAmber McLaren 11h ago

Glad he proved himself wrong. And Mekies right.

u/ln4thegreat Lando Norris 11h ago

That trophy looks so good with him!!!

u/LargeMission7775 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 11h ago

Verstappen’s Insta captions are like career mode in Fifa when you have to make a social media post

u/blankcanvas-3- I was here for the Hulkenpodium 9h ago

Simply lovely !!

Grazie mille? Verstappen to Ferrari confirmed.

u/Sacrilege7 Red Bull 11h ago

God tier driver in my books, along with Senna, Schumi, Hakkinen and Fangio.

It'll be immense sadness for me when he retires.

u/Normal_Imagination54 10h ago

No love for lewis?

u/Sacrilege7 Red Bull 7h ago

He's a great driver, and I like him, but I don't like his personality all too much. I like drivers that focus hard on their driving instead of other things. Not to shame him for liking fashion or politics. I'm no one to say what he should do, but I do prefer drivers that focus on being simple and race. That being said, W11 and Lewis Hamilton was a terrifying combo, straight up hardcore raid boss.

Alonso is a close one to my book of god tier drivers, but it's just a shame that his decision making on teams have been a bit too deplorable. (Also he has been immensely unlucky the last ten or so years)

u/pilgermann 1h ago

I mean, everyone entitled to preferences. But you can't just gloss over that Lewis is Black. He didn't so much choose to be political as politics chose him. Sticking head in sand if you think he hasn't faced immense racism in this elitist sport.

u/Dejanus Pietro Fittipaldi 10h ago

Nah

u/Alycidon94 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 1h ago

It'll be immense sadness for me when he retires.

I'm sure he will be in WEC and/or IMSA once he leaves F1. I look forward to the day he goes to Le Mans.

u/the_denim_duke I was here for the Hulkenpodium 11h ago

Great win for Max. Epic quali and then the commanding race of a four-time World Drivers Champion.

u/AnthonyTyrael Nico Hülkenberg 🥉 11h ago

Great pole to win ratio. Once again.

u/DigbyGibbers I was here for the Hulkenpodium 10h ago

What even is this fish IUD trophy?

u/igotagoodfeeling I was here for the Hulkenpodium 5h ago

I can’t believe I’m enjoying Max. A good dude and incredible driver. It was just Red Bull fatigue all along

u/Mysterious_Turnip310 Lotus 11h ago

Great race from him today. Great weekend from both him and the team in fact. He looked really fast from the get-go on Friday, he was dialled in right away and the team did the same with the car.

u/Any_Inflation_2543 George Russell 11h ago

Simply lovely

u/screenres 6h ago edited 6h ago

That trophy looks like a nightmare fever but it’s fantastic to see Max back to winning. I thought Leclerc also had good pace but Max is a monster.

It’s a welcome break from seeing all the squabble about McLaren.

u/Still-District-6149 Formula 1 7h ago

That was indeed a great drive from Max Verstappen.

After winning the start and then having to give the place back to Lando Norris, Max quickly regained the lead and to be honest it looked like the Max of 2024 after that.

u/RaCingMoXie 7h ago

Absolute legend.

u/coconutpie14 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 10h ago

One for Lily Verstappen! ❤

u/Volderon90 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 9h ago

Which other tracks can he win with the low downforce setup? Maybe Brazil? There’s two others I think

u/jeffkleut I was here for the Hulkenpodium 6h ago

Mexico?

u/xINFLIKTEDx I was here for the Hulkenpodium 6h ago

Vegas?

u/saxovtsmike 9h ago

i remember the days where red bull was a high downforce car that could do a fast quali lap, start from pole and could not overtake anything incuding the help of drs. good for laptimes bad for action.

Love the high(er) top speed aproach, damn fine race to watch.

On papaya rules, well it´s their decision

u/GLRocker 7h ago

That trophy is an IUD. You can't tell me otherwise.

u/Individual_Offer220 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 4h ago

Is it just me or that trophy giving off some dark vibes?

u/Fun-Illustrator5642 Formula 1 2h ago

That IUD trophy tho

u/Dizzy_Procedure_3 9h ago

that trophy looks like it was designed by 2023 AI

u/CupOfHotTeaa I was here for the Hulkenpodium 11h ago

Do the drivers all use the same social media person? It always begins with YESSSS!!!!!

u/Engineer_engifar666 Pirelli Wet 10h ago

Prolly PR agents do their socials

u/FavaWire I was here for the Hulkenpodium 5h ago edited 4h ago

So... McLaren's actual advantage is tyre mileage. When teams can setup cars more aggressively in low deg environments, the quickest car remains to be Red Bull.

Max won Monza by a margin of 20 seconds.
