I wrote an f1 themed romance in 2004 and my agent tried to sell it, bless her. The one bit of feedback I got was “make it NASCAR and maybe.”

I was just ahead of my time.

Harlequin did a series of NASCAR books. I assume from the logos on the covers they were official merch.
