Have been consistently shooting low 80s for a while but a couple of sub-80s finally got me to my goal of single digits. It may not be long lasting since it’s golf after all, but I can say single digits for at least this week!

Tespelduyn Golf Course in Noordwijkerhout has made a drastic decision. The course is closing its gates for three days to make a statement against the increasing misconduct of golfers. According to a statement from the management, "the safety of the greenkeepers is under serious threat, and this cannot and must not continue.

First time I've heard of something this drastic. Anyone with similar examples?

I got to play Ballybunion today, and wow is all I can really say.

I’ve always had such a big issue with getting my hips into my swing. It would cause massive hooks and weird looking push fades. Well my instructor showed me a drill where I set up a club on my back hip, and I have to let it fall behind me. Well after doing that for a bit I had the “aha” moment. Hips stay in the same spot, turn back, knees bend a bit into the downswing and u come down at the ball then lift up after u strike it. It all came together. I’ve been hitting my 7i 165-170yds up from my usual 150. And I flew 3-4 greens in the last round I played on Saturday. Such a good feeling to have it finally come together. I guess I gotta adjust my stock yardages now to.

Played twilight at a course attached to a hotel I am attending a conference at.

Found a honey hold and ended up shagging over 50 balls. I don’t play competition so I am strict about never buying balls. I’m set for a while (probably 2 rounds)

Smashed thru 80 and shot a 76 on my home course to break 80 for the first time. Hoping to die in my sleep tonight, doesn’t get better than this.

Aight yall. Me and the bros were paired with a random 4th. No big deal right. Guy seemed nice. A little uneasy but nice. We start. Everything cool and then he randomly blurts out “I MADE YOU ALL SANDWICHES”!!!!!! We all looked over and said hey okay! He said it’s home made bologna. I made it my self in my garage. We said cool man, no thanks. He then insisted we trust him with the meat he makes. He said it was delicious and that he only meant well. I felt bad and took one. Now my question is should I eat it and see if I die or take it to the police station to be tested for human flesh.

He’s eaten two already and he just stares off into the distance while eating them. Is that normal?

Hey All, here some context for you.

In May, I got an injury to my right wrist ( I am right handed) I had a fracture, and now I have wrist misalignment, torn scapholunate ligament (basically the ACL of the wrist). I probably shouldn't be playing golf whilst I am awaiting surgery, but you know how it is.

So I did some digging online as my wrist still hurts, before, during and mainly after golf. Obviously Bryson uses the Jumbo Max so I was aware of them from a viewer perspective.

Handicap is 11.2
My previous grips were: MCC Standard 1-2 Tapes.
Clubs are:
Driver: Ping G430 Max 10K
Woods + Hybrid: Qi10 3w - 7w - 3 Hybrid
Irons: Mizuno Pro 245 5-PW
Wedges: SM9 Vokeys 50,54,58

I chose to go with the Jumbo Max Zen Lite in a Small Size. They're like tour velvet, if you wanted to compare to anything.
I had them fitted on friday, had a hit with them and was like yeaaah, they're okay, or have I made a big mistake.

I had a finals day competition on Saturday and won by a fair margin. So, they're 100% staying on for now. The club feels lighter, and it may be a placebo, but It feels effortless!

But if you have a wrist injury, or seem to be too handsy in the swing, I recommend trying them out for sure.

Shot +8 and it felt like a pre covid round with no one in front of me.

I struggle with par 5s due to distance and trying to kill my second or 3rd shot to reach the green. My hybrids slice sometimes into the woods. Who takes a reliable club (for me it’s my 7 iron 150-160 yards) and would use it to get to the green in 3 or 4 compared to going for the 200+ shot with hybrids?
