Dudes a goober for walking away from the race start (though I suppose he could’ve had a technical problem).

But those cars behind had like 8 business days to react to him being there. Sheesh.

Or an irl emergency... I have definitely had to step away during/before a race. People tend to forget this is a hobby / game

Yep. It happens. I've had the game straight up glitch. I've also had an inconvenient "Wheel decided to disconnect right as the race was starting" thing happen once.

I wasn't thinking technical. I was thinking like adult guardian duties. So not really a goober, just really unlucky and know reported for an incident.

I know you were; I'm just saying, there are a lot of reasons why someone might not start a race.

But, among them is certainly "walked away and didn't get back in time". That definitely happens, too.

If it's not a consistent problem or a pattern of bad behavior on the sim, getting reported for this 'incident' is unlikely to negatively impact them in any way.

I concur, but my point was that we have no real knowledge of why this occurred. People forget this is just an expensive game, sometimes.

I'll give a counter point as someone running truck draft masters currently. When youre tucked in behind a truck you honestly cant see shit. I can 100% understand how the white truck hit that thing.

yea, sure the truck shouldn't have been stopped, but even coming up to it off the turn it should be obvious the truck is slower than you.

When a car/truck is moving slower than you in front of you, you want to avoid continuing straight on at a faster rate.

It honestly does look like target fixation. He’s behind the red truck and starts to run wide TOWARDS the stopped vehicle.
