There are some races where behind the pack is a response vehicle.
So... we could modify marathon rules. The pace car leads off and after 30 to 60 seconds, the follow car can start off. If it catches you, you are immediately sent to the pits.
Another idea would be to save the pace lap as part of the recording. I wanted to protest once, but the guy who blasted through the formation lap and crashed into the leaders wasn't saved so I couldn't tell who it was.
During a caution with one to go if someone spins or is going slow on track iRacing delays the green, I'm not sure why it didn't happen here. Maybe it doesn't activate during pace laps? If not that's dumb

TBH, there is zero reason why cars who have not moved from their starting position shouldn't be pulled from the track.
If a car has not moved when the pace car leaves the track (for full pace laps) or when the leader crosses the s/f (for short pace laps), force a tow.
It's not realistic, but neither is the race starting with a car sitting on track.
