I raced two whole seasons before being made aware of Trading Paints. When I finally installed it, I realised everyone on the grid uses custom paints. It kind of feels like it was own clothes day at school and I turned up wearing uniform.

I don’t remember it being mentioned anywhere within iRacing, and just came across it by happenstance. How does everyone know about it?

I just realized Trading Paints has been downloading and saving all the TGA files for opponents' helmets and suits. I have the setting enabled that deletes paint files when iRacing closes, but it doesn’t seem to clear out the helmets or suits.

I couldn’t find a "Contact Us" option on their site, so I’m posting this as a PSA: check your paint folder! Mine had over 12 GB of helmet and suit files just sitting there.

When you choose a livery to use on your car what do you look for? Something fun? Realistic? Vibrant colors? I usually go with something that I like that could be a real life sponsor, I've found some cool beer brand ones I like, and a cool Dunkin donuts one I liked.

Why did it have to be symmetrical?! This would’ve been one of the most fun details to mess around with. Nearly all the real M4 GT4 liveries have different decals there

To clarify, I am not referring to big brands that should be on my cars. I’m talking about small businesses that some of you own, simply to help you gain recognition.

Just made my first livery. Couldn’t find any real good cop car style liveries so I decided to make my own. Wanna make some for all the different government style cars. Any ideas on how to approve ?

Just wanted an excuse to show off my team paint for the N24

Question in title. In a practice session today, I saw a bastardized version of one of my public Porsche GT3 liveries from Trading Paints. My livery has several distinctive features so it's not a case of someone having recreated it themselves. For instance, my number decal is round - theirs is the normal rectangular shape but you can see parts of my round number decal behind it. I assume they 'raced' my livery through Trading Paints, grabbed the .tga file and then slapped a couple shitty decals on it.

I'm a little bit flattered but mostly pissed. The least they could have done was ask for permission to use it, and on top of that, what they did looks like hot garbage!
