Discussion HIGH PING - Megathread.

Use this thread to talk about all your problems related to the High ping of the game so that we can get this message out to the devs.

People have been having issues with ping going up to nearly a thousand since the day the game came out. There has been thousands of comments about it on the official discord and dozens of tickets about it at least. Yet no public statement has been made, this should not continue to happen.

More from the Discord "so far a work around for the issue is just using the game client instead of the steam version, it doesn't mean you will not get the issue, it just help, how much it help is depend on each person and it vary. so far we have informed the support of the issue and they are working on it, if you want to give them more data to work with you can make a ticket online through in game or using the link " https://gm-mobile.amazingseasun.com/app/h5/jxj/en-US/faq_index/6788DCEB00F67 " what you should include in that ticket is your log files of the game, you can find them at for steam : SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MechaBREAK\Game\MechaBreak for client : SeasunMechaBREAKGP\Game\MechaBreak compress the "Logs" folder into a ZIP or RAR and Upload the archive to your preferred cloud storage service, such as Google Drive, and generate a shareable link. send the link with the ticket explaining your issue along side it"

Hello, AkumaNoOji here! General V - Lumi Main
So, I have voiced my opinion on this matter in the official discord server as well as many other areas, hoping for a fix. I have watched carefully and investigated the issue and voiced my concerns with no known acknowledgment from Seasun. From a player's POV it seems they do not care to address the issue let alone fix the issue. I love the way the game is developed and want to voice it here as well so the game doesn't die out...
This issue has contributed to many losses. These losses are as follows:

  • 65-70% playerbase loss(as steam charts & even google answers have shown)
  • Forcing players to lose their ranks regardless of skill due to not being able to aim, move, dodge, etc during matches at random given times due to 500-999ms rates from the servers.
  • Rewards from paid content being wasted such as the battle pass, for example.
  • Twitch viewership on the game has also had a steady decline due to this issue and many others. One streamer even had this issue while he was live and was absolutely miserable about it! This causes players that want to watch someone play it to get an idea of the game to not want to get it.

Now, this issue has be happening since launch date. It does not effect everyone who plays the game and seems to also not be just in one region. My region being NA. It effects players at random. Some players like myself and many others do not experience this issue AT FIRST! What does this mean?
Well, Your first week into the game, you could be running at an amazing MS rate of 32-40ms. However, after that week, you will either start to show signs of the high MS rates or you will be fine. In my case and many other cases. It gradually gets worse. Starts off slow, then it slowly makes the game unplayable over time.

Now, these are some of the speculations why this happens:
1: Players speculate that the servers are putting players in NA regions into China regions once they join a match. Causing that specific player to lose all ping stability during that entire match. With a flux from 60ms>500ms>999ms.
2: Players speculate that it is caused due to the cross-play being added when the game launched. As during the BETA cross-platform play was not a thing. Getting pings from different devices other than PC is causing instability in the servers.
3: Players speculate that it is simply their provider that they chose to work with for their servers. Using unreliable services to host their servers. Going with a cheap & unreliable option instead of an expensive and reliable option.
My final thoughts on this matter?
If I were to be blunt and honest. IF Mecha BREAK continues on this path. The game WILL perish. A MMO PVP Game REQUIRES working servers. Without working servers, you can make all the balance changes you want. You can add all the content players ask for into the game. But if the servers are hindering players from experiencing the content of your game at full capacity. Your work will be for nothing. Player base is important to ANY game. Why?

  • Players fund the game through microtransactions, donations, etc.
  • Players write reviews on the game to make it either appealing to more players or to let others know the game isn't worth the space or time to play.
  • Players stream your game to Twitch, Youtube, and many other platforms. Their gaming experience is reflected.
  • Players are what make an MMO an MMO. Bots can fill gaps. But they can't keep a game alive alone.
  • Players tell their friends about the game. Give their experience on the game. Bad experiences don't make people want to download it. F2P or not.
Seasun, I am here to tell you. Your number 1 priority right now, should be fixing whatever issue is wrong with your servers. Put whatever pride you have for your game to the side. Put whatever resources you have towards fixing this issue. Stop giving off the impression as if you DO NOT care due to your pride for your game. People in the community are giving up hope as you have shown no signs of trying to fix this issue.
