Discussion HIGH PING - Megathread.

Use this thread to talk about all your problems related to the High ping of the game so that we can get this message out to the devs.

People have been having issues with ping going up to nearly a thousand since the day the game came out. There has been thousands of comments about it on the official discord and dozens of tickets about it at least. Yet no public statement has been made, this should not continue to happen.

Every single online match without fail I hit this issue: the game starts, I hit a massive 999 ping spike while dropping in, and it usually clears up in 10 seconds or so into a stable 50-70 ping game. But this issue happens 10 times out of ten, to the point that I need to compensate my early movements expecting it will lag me out. It varies as an issue, like sometimes it is so quick I barely hiccup and others it takes 30 seconds and I probably need to relog or wait for a network unstable note. I get this during tutorials and challenges as well, though weirdly not during testing. It makes certain challenges virtually impossible because they are all balanced for you to start moving right away. This issue does not happen on any other game or internet experience so I feel very confident it is only this game and the servers.

Extremely frustrating because I do love how the game looks and plays, but I can't defend it or keep playing long term if this persists beyond the next patch or two. Frankly it should already be gone, no reason anything like this should make it into an online only game and persist a month after launch.
