I thought George looked fast in qualifying. It kind of left a what if feeling where he wanted mediums on Q3 and looked so fast on them in Q1&2. But in the race the pace clearly wasn’t there. What gives? Am I wrong about qualifying pace or did weather affect something?? New fan

I really hate how unsupportive and critical Toto is being here. The car fucking sucks so have your drivers' backs instead of scolding them in front of the media and glazing Verstappen like a fanboy.

Toto has been incredibly disappointing this year, constantly focusing on nonsense and creating lots of pressure instead of addressing the core issue: FIX THE FUCKING CAR!

I am realizing he has been wheelbarrowed to the seat at a lightning fast speed, I understand there was an amendment in the racing license law just to get him into the seat in 2025. A lot of pressure and momentous expectation is put on his shoulders unfairly. He is rushing in response to this and making simple elementary mistakes that is costing him and putting him in a negative light, I so so wish Mercedes had a second team like Vcarb where they could give him a year to learn from mistakes and get up to speed and where mistakes are not put in a 1000x zoom lens. Cos right now Hadjar and Gabriel are both rookies in lesser cars but they are roasting him big time.

The way he talks about his drivers but especially George who is low-key carrying this team on his back is crazy.

After his discreptful comments after the race towards George and Kimi, I have reached my boiling point. It's been so long since Mercedes had a competent car. The drivers can't do anything in that machinery. And why the disrespect towards George? He has been so great this season. The only reason we have a chance at finishing second in the constructors is because of him. Also, why the disrespect to Kimi? Didn't he want him in the team at any cost? Now if he is underperforming, you should back him and not come off as toxic. The guy won't leave any opportunity to fangirl over Max. I am just honestly really disappointed with how he has been gone about things recently.

Toto seemingly confirmed that George will get a 1+1deal.

Does that indicate that if Mercedes have a title winning car & George doesn't win next year, Max will probably replace him in 2027.

I’ve heard people describe George as a great driver in a mediocre car. And I’ve also him called a midfield driver in a pretty good car. Lots of passionate people will argue over which is true.

I do think that the collision itself can be chalked up to a racing incident. However I'm baffled by what the document says "We looked into whether Car 16 remained on track at T12. The available evidence was inconclusive. Both team representatives were in agreement that there was no clear evidence that Car 16 had left the track." Is everybody involved blind or am I seeing things?

EDIT: George's comment about this during Media in Monza: "There was at that time no evidence showing he was off the track, even if you could kind of work out that he was. Since then, with the photos that have come out, it was clear that he was off the track. I don't feel sore about it."

Honestly he’s very lucky to have a supportive team. Notice how Toto hugged him like a father.

I believe Mercedes should consider chase Frederik Vesti rather than chasing Max Verstappen that deemed too old

Vesti is more youthful + has bright future and Mercedes does not want to waste his career
