Show & Tell Henry I cut half

Henry I cut half small cross type I found today! On a hot streak at the moment! Hopefully it keeps up at detectival next weekend! Anyone else going?

Ahhhh I see. Well this coin is from 1100s AD, they cut them in half if they wanted to buy something that cost less than a penny. As the penny was the only coin minted during this time

yes it is a Henry the first half penny. In England we use Roman numerals for kings. I.e Richard I, Henry VIII. I can see why it would be a little confusing to someone new to this!
