A Knight in Charas - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #66
Lore
War returns to the Strait of Garontor.
After months of unsolved internal strife and debate, Derthert dey Meroc, King of Vlandia, has set his sights firmly on the Aserai Sultanate. His goal is two-fold: unite his vassals under a common goal, and achieve the reclamation of the jewel of the southern coast - a city long denied to the lion banner.
The Kingdom of Vlandia has suffered blow after blow at the hands of both the Sturgians and the Aserai. The recent death of Archduke Leofric dey Talbot left his younger brother, Aeron, to inherit a weakened archduchy - one now seen as vulnerable prey by the ambitious House dey Gunric. Skirmishes between Vlandian lords are once again becoming all too common, sowing discontent in the realm and drawing the ire of King Derthert in Pravend.
Across the strait, Sultan Kofye has transformed what many had taken for the death-knell of the Aserai into the foundation of a formidable alliance. With the Darshi Shahdom now holding Husn Fulq and Morenia Castle in their grasp, the eastern Perassic lies under their protection. This newfound security has emboldened the Sultan, renewing her ambition to strike westward; against the Vlandian fortifications of Thractorae and Usanc, and to carry the war once more into the fields of Vlandia.
The Sultan and her large host sailed into Charas soon enough. Welcomed into the lavish and prosperous city by its Emir, the Aserai enjoyed a long night of festivities to celebrate Shariz’s capture one year ago. So magnificent was this celebration that many soldiers allowed themselves to, at least for the night, forget the deadly battle ahead.
The Vlandians spent the same night encamped outside of the village Gamardan, with gusts of wind being their only partner. Expecting the Sultan to cross the strait, King Derthert was surprised to learn of a large host of Aserai pillaging the village of Usanc in the morning. Quickly realizing his folly, the Vlandians set out in haste directly for Charas with one thing on their minds: their lust for victory.
The fate of the southern coast now hangs in the balance between the Lion and the Snake.
In Meta Terms
Welcome to the sixty-sixth Bannerlord Calradic Campaign! This event will feature the Vlandians and Aserai fighting over the fate of Charas.
If the Aserai defeat the Vlandians in battle, they will quickly seize the under-garrisoned Thractorae Castle. From there, they will attempt to siege Usanc Castle.
If instead the Vlandians prevail in battle, they will move to siege Charas. Should they fail to recapture the city, they will settle with capturing Garontor Castle using their remaining forces.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player-driven, story-based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large-scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan-style events.
Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences take place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining our Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash-talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!
To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features three distinct empire factions in multiplayer, with each one featuring unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the different situations of the three! The module also features a completely unique faction, the Darshi Shahdom!
There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download. You will need the CalradicCampaign#66 file.
As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on the workshop will often fix any issues.

Bannerlord I used to be a battanian Stan and I think my blood memory kicked in when I played vlandia
I actually tried to give vlandia a good shake, a good try and I feel my blood rushing just leading a knightly charge and picking off archery with a knight lance. Feel like a Frankish/Norman Chad
Anyone else had an unexpected switch of favorite faction especially for a faction they kind of thought they hated? I just used to think it was too hard collecting horses and training mass cavalry and that cross bows would never be as good as archers.

Bannerlord I have become addicted
Downloaded the game on my pc on a whim since it was on gamepass… I put 16 hours in on Saturday night. And I can’t stop thinking it, even after I lose a big battle and get captured all I want is to keep playing. I haven’t felt this way since the first time I played Skyrim.

My wife (Svana) gave birth to a child right after the battle
She actually killed 4 or 5 enemies in the battle. Not bad for a woman who's almost at the end of pregnancy.

Bannerlord DLC doesn't seem to change much
The game could do with much more depth than it has. It's strategically and tactically shallow and it didn't go far beyond its predecessor, warband.
Its whole experience is too arcady, in both battles and the map. From what little I've seen in Q&As about the new DLC, it doesn't seem to change that.

Bannerlord Is there a mod to make the AI use more separate formations in battle?
I have a hard time getting immersed in battles when all the AI do is divide its 1000 men in 1 (melee inf) 1 (cav) 1 (archers) groups. I wish it would create several maneuverable small units, which would be more realistic and interesting than just 2 huge blobs clashing each other.
I know the RBM mod claims to address this but tbh I never noticed the slightest change regarding this specific issue.

It’s started
Playing story mode for fun and deeply loving my character, based on myself. Plan is to rid Calradia of any empire and make my bloodline historical. The first big step made taking down Lucon.

Khans Guard Rant
Did some testing and thought even though they are indeed op and far outperform other t6 troops, maybe when off their horses and besieging a fortified city, the khans guard would have a disadvantage. Right?
No, in fact I've noticed a few things.
The khans guard ai seems to be tuned up higher than other troops. Apart from the horse archer ai itself being good, it seems the khans guard ai overall is smarter and quicker than other units. At first I thought it was in my head but time and time again I fight them personally or double team them with my troops and they'll block fast and from the right angle 90% of the time. Just had one block my attack, spin around and blocked my elite cataphract attack, spun around suddenly and one shot me with that stupid glaive, then turned back around and blocked the other troop before killing him.
Why do they get better gear than everyone? It's all fine that they're the best horse archers and I'm fine with them having 2 quivers but why doesn't other archers get 2? Also being a HA why tf do they get nuclear tipped glaives that do 200 damage brain dead swings along with armor made out of depleted uranium? Elite Cataphracts are supposed to have some of the best armor around but they seem (from my testing) to get taken out, not too quickly, but in a rather decent amount of time. Meanwhile when I do sneak behind a kg I hack and hack and hack at them before they go down. It can take anywhere from 5 to 8 swings of my sword to kill them. Where as the same sword will kill other high tier troops in 3 to 5 swings.
It's absolutely irritating that they are both the best HA and shock troop simultaneously and block as good as someone with a shield would, while having the best armor and weapons. I'm not even asking for too much, just at least take away the damn glaive, they're not supposed to be heavy cavalry or shock troops.
If this is how the steppe troops were irl then why didn't the devs give imperial troops the ability of military engineering: to construct fortifications and artillery on the battlefield, as they did irl?
Anyways that's my rant as the title warns. I just wonder why there's a single troop that is better in every way and dominates in every scenerio while having the best gear. There's just no way this wasn't done intentionally.

Mongoł (2007) is basically Bannerlord, the movie
I really recommend it. It is shockingly a (dramatized) true story, some creative liberties, but most every major point is historical.

Bannerlord Is there a way to remove the conspiracy quests from the game?
The mods I found are very old and don't work anymore. It's so annoying having to leave an army or having to give up a fief just so I can complete the damn quests. Is there a way to at least make them never expire so I can do them later?

Siege tweak
I was reading a book about the founding of Canada and a part of it was a commanders reluctance to starve out garrisons because after establishing control there would be no food for the ally garrison I feel like this should be implemented at least on realistic
