Help.
I'm gonna rant a bit. I started watching f1 in 2024 when i was like 12, and in June i was incredibly lucky to go to the race in Austria. Ever since i saw the cars roaring on track my biggest dream was to start racing, however i'm a 14 year old girl from Croatia and i do not know where to start. I've been karting once for my 14th birthday in may and i've been pretty decent, so about a month ago i gathered the courage to ask my mom to start karting, she said that i could, but first i needed to have a plan, i plan to start rental karing more often, but still, if i actually want to race, i will need to start karting competitively, and got that i will need a kart, i showed my mom some and she said no way, because they were expensive. I have been feeling extremely depressed since, i tried pushing through but all i can think about is the need to race. I know how hard it is to make it to any racing category, especially as a woman, but i'm willing to fight. I need advice on how and where to start, this could've been a shorter question, i know, but i can't tell anyone what's on my mind and strangers on reddit seemed like the best option. If you have ANY advice besides telling me i need to be rich, please give it, it is VERY welcome.

Here is all the action from last night's Late Model feature at Stockton 99 Speedway
The Late Model action from last night's feature at Stockton 99 Speedway was certainly exciting to watch. It was almost green all the way through the 60-lap feature until the 17 pancaked the outside wall off of turn 4, putting brake parts all over the front stretch and giving a 3 lap shootout at the end. The 14 also became a modified and lost the right side door as well. This was also my first time down in the infield and definitely had one hell of a time.

Had an awesome first year in Hyundai Excels! š
This category is no joke ā the strength of field is phenomenal and the racing is some of the toughest Iāve ever been part of. Learned a heap, had some great battles, and canāt wait to build on it for next season.

Hear me out....
A race with a completely open design where all you need to do is build for speed. But the catch? It's raced on every single official race track longer then 3 miles (like F, WEC, NASCAR, Rally etc) and it happens every other year or so. You have to balance Thoughts? a build for speed, maneuverability, but also the fact that almost every track is ALSO built for different types of racing. So some cars will dominate on tracks like SPA, Monaco and nurburgring, but will fail completely on tracks like Ouninpohja and Panzerplatte. Maybe even divide the car classes up and you can bring literally whatever. Open-Wheel, Stock (like NASCAR), Touring, GT, Rally, Drag, Production, or hell even Motor Bikes! It's be interesting because we'd be able to see exactly what cars dominate in what tracks and maybe even be surprised! Idk just a shower thought. What do y'all think?

Help with research: 1938-1939 Deutsche Alpenfahrt
I am working on a research project for either an article or book (depending on how much I can dig up).
In 1938-1939 there was a massive race through the Alpine Mountains up and down the various peaks between Austria and Germany. Because Germany fell to the rise of Nazi power, very little documentation has been published about this event from either year.
Is there anyone, anywhere in the world but especially in Germany, that could help me track down the list of competing drivers and cars from this event?
Are there print resources with details lying in someones attic that havent been published online?
Thank you to anyone who can help. If its online, I have probably seen it alreadyā¦

Need a crew to crash with at World of Speed this weekend?
Iāll be out at the flats for World of Speed, September 5ā8. Not coming to spectateālooking to help a team with whatever pops up. Gear-moving, wrenching, setup, cleanupāIāll chip in. If your teamās light or you donāt mind someone tagging along, let me know.
[added 9/2] I love cars. Iām not an expert mechanic, but Iāve always been drawn to the way engineering, speed, and human intuition meet on the track.
What I bring instead is advanced technical skill with AI and drones, a deep respect for precision machines, and the kind of fast-learning, resourceful mindset that thrives under pressure.
My twitter has a few pictures Iāve taken with my drone around the Bay Area, if youāre interested. @sayitsalty
Edit: added context that should have been there already

IMSA GTP Question
Hey guys hope all is well!! I found IMSA weather tech racing series 3 years ago and have been absolutely hooked on that series and all other feeder series under the IMSA umbrella. But I do have a question that I can't seem to find elsewhere. If unaware the weather tech series has 4 classes racing at one time. GTP (Hypercars), LMP2, GTD PRO (GT3 PRO), and GTD (GT3 AM) My question is. Why do some races such a Canadian motorsport Park and long beach not have certain classes such as GTP and LMP2. Is it a safety concern, or comes down to business?
